Their D core do nothing to frighten me especially without Fowler. Top to bottom? Laughable.

Anyone know what the injury report on Lindholm and Vatanen says? I know Fowler is week to week.

Both played against LA tonight. Lindholm 22:15 and Vatanen 19:58.

I like the simple speeches
When I returned to coaching football we had to play an Edmonton team that was really good. Our team hadn't beaten then in a long time and they had a solid reputation.
So I gathered the players around at our last practice.
"We know we haven't beaten these guys in a while. We know they have a great team and we're going to hear a lot about how we don't have a chance against them and how we should stay home.
Well f$$$ those guys, they still have to beat us"
We did beat them because the players relished playing the underdog and f$$$ing those guys"

How many black aces are likely to be called up? How many were in 2015?

They can only have a maximum of 3 on the roster until Stockton's regular season and playoffs are done.
And with Stockton close to and likely clinching playoffs, I wouldn't expect many up unless injuries warrant.

You're right, to hell with realism.
I'm gonna say Flames in 4.

He is not a Debbie Downer if you are an Oilers fan, he was gushing about them in the Sharks/Oilers thread.

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.
The Flames will have to find a way to outwork the ducks.

Sure, but the Ducks work hard, though. That's typically why they've been a contender for years, because they find ways to play up their potential.

Just like in 2015, the team missing a defenseman due to a collision involving Mark Giordano will lose.

We win this series.
The extra time off will go a long way in getting the youthful energy focused.
We win the first game with 2 late goals. We win the second handily and it gets rough with the ducks getting cheap but we answer. We win game 3 with a disciplined effort. The gutless duck leaders mail it in for game 4 which we win with a shutout.
Flames in 4.

This series can be won by the Flames, but they can't have any floaters and they have to shake this can't win in ANA nonsense that is in their head.

The Flames have shown during the head to head games this year that they are the better hockey team. Only after the games turned to shenanigans did the Ducks take over.
Saying the Ducks are better top to bottom is laughable.
The Flames can win this series. But they need to get that first win and get over the hump.
For me, this series comes down to the first two games in Anaheim - get the split and I think they win the series. Don't get the split and the mountain is too big to climb.

I think I dislike the Ducks more than the Oilers. Kesler, Bieksa, Perry - the Anaheim ######s TBQH.
I think that this series is either going to be the Flames going out with a wimper, or a knock down, grind it out series.
I am looking forward to Ferland running Bieksa all series long.
