In 2015 I wore my David Jones jersey down to the Boston Pizza on 17th for Game 1 and we won that series in six.
I know where I'll be on Wednesday.

This will be a homer series through the first 6 games. The Ducks blow yet another game 7 on home ice and the Flames end the curse.

Flames in 6. They break the curse in game one, drop game 2, win both at home, drop game 5, then end it at the Dome in 6. GFG.

A whole series of Kesler hacking at Gaudreau's hands and not getting penalized. We're going to need a lot of beer or I'll go something-something

I have to believe in my team.
This is the ultimate underdog story and nobody is giving us a single fricken chance. Its going to be over in 4 games, hell it should be over in 3. We're wasting our time with this one. The ducks are bigger, more experienced and deeper.
We're boned.
F that, I'm taking the Flames in 7. While the Ducks are running around trying to play intimidation hockey, the Flames will simply play hockey and it won't be the first like that brings the Flames through. It will be the Triple M line.
You have to have faith that once in a while the good guy . . . the little guy wins.

Ducks broadcast talking #### about the Flames and them not winning in Anaheim in 25 games.
The last game the Flames one there was in the playoffs in 2007, idiots. Also saying Anaheim has a "huge" advantage on D and in goal.
Play your game Flames, don't fall for Keslers ####.

Flames win the series in part thanks to winning 2 of the games in ANA and flip the script.

Who cares what they say. The Flames are lapping up the underdog story right now.
The Ducks core is aging and their window is closing, they need to have a long playoff run and the pressure is on.
The Flames literally have no pressure, nobody expects them to do anything in this series.

I'm not holding out hope for a series win in this one. This is the very last team I wanted to face in round 1. There is no worse match up in the entire NHL for the Flames then the Ducks. Having said that, if the Flames by some miracle do win this, they are going to the finals!!
I expect this series to be a nasty series. But that plays right into the Ducks hands and always goes against the Flames, no matter how hard they push back. It's never enough, and it is exactly what the Ducks want. Even with the Ducks injuries on D, it's not their D that scares me. It's their forwards that always cause fits. Gibson seems to channel his inner Dryden and look like the best goalie in the league when playing Calgary. It's not guys like Ferland, Brouwer or Engelland who need to step up and engage beast mode. It's Monahan, Brodie, Gio and Gaudreau who need to bury the chances they get and make sure the PP is deadly. We'll beat them by skill. Not toughness.
It will be the upset of the year if the Flames pull this off. I'm very very cautiously optimistic in can be done. 14 years of getting our ass beat at the Honda Centre? I guess the streak does have to come to an end at some point...right?
Either way I'd love to be completely wrong on the Flames losing this series, and I'll be the first guy posting in the crow eating thread if that happens.

Maybe, just maybe, the injuries to Anaheim's defense may level the playing field somewhat.
