If the ducks lose their final game and Edmonton wins 1 of the 2 game they will be tied for 101 pts. Who has the tiebreak to be #1? Based on the percentages I assume the ducks still have the tie break and Edmonton would need 3 of 4 points with the ducks losing their last game.

Ducks have 103 points with 1 game
Oilers have 99 point with 2 games
Ducks have to lose in regulation and Oilers have to win both. Oilers win both in shootout the Ducks win the Pacific. Oilers win both in regulation or overtime Oilers win the Pacific. Oilers win one in regulation or overtime and one in a shootout, Ducks and Oilers are tied with points and ROW but the Oilers won season series against the Ducks and Oilers win the Pacific.

In the last 10 meetings against either club..
Calgary is 4-6 against the Blackhawks.
Calgary is 1-9 against the Ducks.

Still don't care, I think in a seven game series where the prep is all towards one team, we'll hold our own. We get a few bounces and we'll win. That's playoff hockey.
The Ducks are a good physical team, the Hawks are a great skilled team that has an edge to them.
Personally I think the theme here is if the Flames can survive the first game, and split the first two they can do what young teams do and that's seize the momentum and play with reckless abandon.
I frankly don't care who we get, I have trouble seeing this team folding their cards, or going down easy against anyone.
The Flames have to find a way early in the series to have that punch them in the mouth moment that sets the ducks or hawks back on their heels and puts a bit of doubt in their game.
Whether that's Elliot standing on his head, or Money and Johnny lighting it up early, or the Flames getting extremely physical, it doesn't matter. If we can have that moment where the belief switches from the favorite to the underdog, that's all that's going to matter.
You can't play this game angry even though you need to play it on edge. You can't play with caution or hesitation even though you need to be detailed oriented and execute your game plan.
In the playoffs its finding that cliff's edge between two much and too little. Its about latching onto that moment that one moment that happens in every game and holding on for dear life until it becomes another moment and another moment and then a water fall and then a avalanche. That's what underdogs have to do.
Look at the LA Kings in 82, they found that moment in game one and the Oilers were pretty much shaken and on their heels and even when they won games they didn't look confidence, and in the end the Oilers packed up their tents, got their a##es kicked in game 5 and waived the white flag. We have to give the Ducks or the Hawks the reason to look at the white flag, say that can't win, unwrap it and waive it.
So I honestly don't care who we get. Just for Christ sakes lets get going.

I keep seeing people say if they can beat the curse...or we could beat the curse.
The curse is only in regular season.
The Flames beat the Ducks at the Honda center in the playoffs of 2015.

I don't think they did, they lost the first 2 games and came home win the first one and lost the second one and lost the fifth game in Anaheim. I believe they lost the series 4:1

Considering we lost in 5 games, and won game 3 at home... no we didn't.
We won once in Anaheim during the 2006 playoffs.

Oilers win both games, at least one in regulation or OT.
Flames win.
Ducks lose in regulation.

Oilers need to beat Canucks both today and tomorrow with at least one being in regulation
Anaheim needs to lose to LA tomorrow in regulation.
Flames need to finish in the 1st wildcard position and will do so with a win in any fashion against San Jose or a Nashville loss to Winnipeg

At some point you have to beat either of these teams so it doesn't matter. If Calgary is going to lose in the first round I would rather it be to Anaheim so that fire burns next year. Get it done. Crush those ducks. If you're not first.....

It isn't that far off of a chance for a BoA as I thought then.
LA beating the ducks could easily happen as LA won't be sitting anyone and I assume the ducks do.
Edmonton beating the canucks in back to back games isn't a huge stretch
Comes Calgary could still lose tonight as long as Nashville loses in regulation or Calgary just wins and we only need the above to play out.
I get a weird burst of excitement and nervousness thinking of a BoA. I want to see it happen so much that I would take a BoA series over a free all inclusive trip!!!

If it's the Ducks or Hawks I'm taking the Ducks. Don't want to play the Hawks if Kane, Toews , Keith, Crawford, etc bring their 'A' games, the Flames would have no hope. I think they could at least give the Ducks a run for their money, plus I loathe half of their team, it would feel great to beat them. They won't lose in Anaheim forever, might as well kill the curse now.
