Ducks Cam Fowler out 2-6 weeks after suffering knee on knee hit from Gio

Perfect timing. Nothing but good news for us if we face them!

If you play a dirty game and put that kind of karma out there this is what comes back.

MOD EDIT: Removed inappropriate comment.

This is news. But I would not have worded it quite that way.

I feel bad for Fowler, he's one of the very few Ducks I don't hate!

Well, here's hoping it's on the 6 end and not on the 2 end. It's playoffs around the corner, and I don't give a damn about how ######y that makes me sound.

Not a lot of class in this thread so far. Hate seeing a top player go down on any team on an unfortunate play like that right before the playoffs...

Ducks are still deep on defense and would like to see us beat them in the playoffs.

I feel bad for the player but not the team.

Yes. I know how it sounds. You never want to see someone hurt, and I apologize with the classless underlay. Nevertheless, this does improve our odds against them, and the team as well as their fans have filled me with endless amounts of salt dating back to the very last time we won there.

With that being said. I'm sorry.

Why do I have the feeling this is just to draw attention to the hit, and that he makes a miraculous recovery in time for game one?

Like when Perry was "hurt" so badly in the whatever game in 2015, then ended up scoring after.

This garbage quote from Bob Murray:
Quote:
“The big thing in hockey today is concussions but I still, as an old player, have no use for knee-on-knee hits, and especially if I think they are somewhat intentional,” Ducks general manager Bob Murray told the media in Anaheim. “I hear how Gio is a good guy, and he’s this and he’s that. The media in Toronto is saying, ‘Well, he’s a good guy.’ Well, he’s done this before. I have no respect for people who go after knees. I’m sorry but knees, they wreck your careers real quick. I don’t like it.

“I know I’ve said too much, but I don’t care.”
Has eliminated any sypmathy I feel for the Ducks.

I see Ducks Nick Ritchie got a match penalty for sucker punching Roszival. But please Bob Murray, again lecture us on how dirty Giordano is.
Murray needs to keep his trap shut. Ritchie should be suspended.

Man you would think that Gio hit a woman with a chair or something.

Don't like to see the player hurt but to suggest it was anything other than accidental is ludicrous. No other GM or coach in the league would agree with his characterization of Gio.

Look, I feel bad for Fowler, but I keep watching the video and it wasn't like Gio was going for a dirty knee on knee, he basically pivoted into that hit.

As far as Murray goes, he can bleat all he wants, but the bottom line is that he's built one of the dirtier teams in the league, so frankly as the old saying goes, live by the sword and hopefully you die by the sword.
