I firmly believe half of Chinese GDP growth in 2004 was a result of all the car flags I lost. I put a good few kids through college accidentally unrolling my truck's windows.

Saw a fella in a blue neon with 4 flames flags and big custom window and hood labels ......I used to fly a bigger flag out of the back of my pickup but lost the flag.
Anyone know where to get a bigger flame flag?

Reading all these "I have my car flag up" has me wondering where you all are. I have had my up for the last week and a half and keep thinking I should take it down until the actual playoffs as I am not seeing anyone else haha!
Recent clients didn't even realize it was a flames flag, they thought it was a flag so they could easily see me as they followed on our tour of viewing properties!

Is it just me that misread this thread title and thought it was "Excrement around the city" and presumed it was another Edmonton thread?

2 years ago the Flames played great down the stretch and matched up against a weak Canucks team in the playoffs, lots to be excited about. This year they're slumping down the stretch and are likely looking at either Anaheim or Chicago in the first round, thus the lowered anticipation (at least for me)

I wouldn't say they are slumping down the stretch...San Jose is slumping down the stretch.

I got one from Canadian Tire and it already has rips in it. Anyone know if there's better quality ones out there?

I'm excited, but I've never liked doing car flags, so won't be running them this year either. I'll be sporting my Flames jersey at the office when Flames play their first game in the playoffs though.

A split in the first two games should set off the City.

I wonder if Edmonton is stealing the thunder a little bit with some Flames fans (which is silly), combined with the anti-climactic early clinch, and the fact we seem destined to face the Ducks. Which is a shame, given this is only the second time they're qualified this decade. Enjoy it!
Regardless, once the playoff season officially kicks off, I'll bet things will ramp up around the city. I can't wait!! Especially after they knocked out Vancouver 2 years ago, the city felt back to 04 levels of hype. I'm dying for that feeling around the city again

First time being in the city with he flames in the playoffs so help me do it right....What bars do I need to be at to watch games, and how early do they fill up. Should I be looking at making reservations now.

They're 5-5 since the streak, our match ups aren't looking good, Johnny isn't dazzling (at least the hype isn't there in the media) and the playoffs are still two weeks away.
No reason to get excited yet. Wait until the season ends and they either get the Oilers or win a game in Chicago or Anaheim.

I remember being amazed when I first moved to Calgary back in 2005 how many car flags there were and how many kids/teens there were waving flags and such on some of the meridians of busier roads after school on playoff game days. It was really cool to see and I never saw anything like that in 2015.

Apparently the C.P.S is holding a press conference right now addressing the Flames playoff run and how they're going to manage the Red Mile and the possible Flames/Oilers match up.
