Default Ricky Williams on Sportsnet

Anyone catch his "meltdown" when being interviewed by a Sportsnet reporter? Quite hilarious.

Edit- I see you can view the video by going to the Sportsnet homepage.

I suppose it wasn't really a meltdown, he just acted like a complete moron.

Interesting, I actually think he was right. What you have there is a reporter who had already decided what the story was before starting the interview and was just trying to get Williams to say whatever he needed to finish the story, rather than listening to the points he was making.

Lazy reporting.

That reporter is an absolute idiot. I love the way Ricky Williams puts him in his place. I would love to grab the reporter by the throat. There is no science to playoff games and Ricky is correct in his statements.

I think Williams got insane later on in the interview, talking about the 100% stuff. Regardless of who was right, I think he acted inappropriately.

I heard Primetime Sports with Bob McCown talking about this today. He loves Ricky because he says Ricky is one of the few athletes to actually think about his answers and say what he believes instead of the canned cliches. (the topic morphed into a discussion on sports reporters, it was interesting)

And the reporters on the panel thought the question was bad, and that the reporter was looking to hear a specific sound bite for his story. (which is interesting since it was a Sportsnet reporter and Prime Time is a Sportsnet show.)

That wasn't a meltdown. That was a painful line of questioning by a stupid reporter. I empathized with Ricky during that interview. Why do sports reporters ask the damn obvious and painful questions?

Another stupid question: Does Charles Roberts motivate you more?

Don't ask Ricky about his injury seven years ago. Ask him if he can be an effective player in the post-season following his ineffective regular season performance in the CFL.
