Thumbs up Flames in the scrums

Was thinking about it, we are no longer weak and cowering in the after whistle scrums like we were a few years ago.
Now we have guys on every line that will punch the other team in the face in the scrums.
Line 1: Ferland
Line 2: Tkachuk and even Backlund is roughing it up big time
Line 3: Bennett
Line 4: Bouma, Brouwer

To top that off we always have a D man that can come to the defense.
Pair 1: Gio
Pair 2: Stone (thank God for this acquisition)
Pair 3: Engelland

No wonder we are always punching people in the scrums these days. Love the physicality. So much better than the weaklings who wouldn't come to each other's aid.

We still need more face washing, snow sprays at the goalie etc.

Tkachuk is doing some stuff which blows my hair back funny.

Tim Hunter used to have that down pat.....that full on F U smile going on while doing it.

Ville Neimenen was pretty good too.

We need to pick our spots with that crap......boy the ducks are a dirty bunch of birds though eh.

Ducks are as old school as it gets. Oilers will be too, where possible.

Dougie has been bringing in some aggressive play as of late as well which has been good to see.

Would like to see Brouwer up his physical play a bit.

Johny not being afraid to throw a hit either.... he must have more hits in his last 4 games than the previous entire season!!!

Stone and Bartkowski have been amazing.... I know Bartkowski had the bad play last night but outside of that, he looks for the big hit, mixes it up with guys, etc. A physical Dougie, Engeland, Stone, Bartkowski will slow opposing players down through the neutral zone.

Bartkowski too. He's not afraid to get in scrums.
