One of them just got permission to proceed, Trump's being sued for inciting violence at one of his rallies. His lawyers tried to get the suit thrown out but it can go ahead. The case pertains to a March 2016 Trump campaign rally in Louisville during which Trump supporters assaulted protesters after then candidate Trump had repeatedly said “get ‘em out of here” from the stage. As the Louisville Courier-Journal explains, Trump’s lawyers had argued that the president’s comments were protected political speech and that the offending Trump supporters were acting on their own, not for or at the direction of Trump or his campaign, and that it was not Trump’s intent for the audience members to use force against the protesters. Judge David J. Hale rejected those arguments in a ruling issued on Friday, saying that facts supported the allegation that injuries suffered by the protesters were a “direct and proximate result” of Trump’s actions.

I'm no fan of Trump, but I can understand where he's coming from here. I was the best athlete in school and I knew it, but nobody else—not my family, my classmates, or coaches—noticed.

The girls didn't know I was the best looking boy in town either.

They will all pay in the end, and the blood certainty of vengeance guides me through even my darkest nights.

Scathing piece from the LA Times today, titled "Our Dishonest President". Can't wait to see Trump's angry tweet about this tomorrow. They'll probably try to ban the Times from the next few press briefings.http://www.latimes.com/projects/la-e...nt=oft02a-2la1

		| In a matter of weeks, President Trump has taken dozens of real-life steps that, if they are not reversed, will rip families apart, foul rivers and pollute the air, intensify the calamitous effects of climate change and profoundly weaken the system of American public education for all. |
	Quote:

		| These are immensely dangerous developments which threaten to weaken this country’s moral standing in the world, imperil the planet and reverse years of slow but steady gains by marginalized or impoverished Americans. But, chilling as they are, these radically wrongheaded policy choices are not, in fact, the most frightening aspect of the Trump presidency.
What is most worrisome about Trump is Trump himself. He is a man so unpredictable, so reckless, so petulant, so full of blind self-regard, so untethered to reality that it is impossible to know where his presidency will lead or how much damage he will do to our nation. His obsession with his own fame, wealth and success, his determination to vanquish enemies real and imagined, his craving for adulation — these traits were, of course, at the very heart of his scorched-earth outsider campaign; indeed, some of them helped get him elected. But in a real presidency in which he wields unimaginable power, they are nothing short of disastrous.

		| This nation survived Andrew Jackson and Richard Nixon. It survived slavery. It survived devastating wars. Most likely, it will survive again.
But if it is to do so, those who oppose the new president’s reckless and heartless agenda must make their voices heard. Protesters must raise their banners. Voters must turn out for elections. Members of Congress — including and especially Republicans — must find the political courage to stand up to Trump. Courts must safeguard the Constitution. State legislators must pass laws to protect their citizens and their policies from federal meddling. All of us who are in the business of holding leaders accountable must redouble our efforts to defend the truth from his cynical assaults.

He settled that, it wasn't a ruling against him. A judgement would have been significantly higher, based on the John Oliver segment I watched on Trump U (Home of the Grabbing ####ies).

This is a tried and true method of dodging responsibility, and the morans that follow these guys buy it.

Bill O'Reilly has paid $13 million to his non-victims in the last 10 years, because all those women are gold-digging harridans that he didn't call up while jerking off. "It's just easier to pay them off! I'm not guilty of anything!".

Strange that this kind of strategy comes from the very greediest of creeps. Suddenly, they don't mind giving money away as long as it keeps someone talking from about their peepee in public.
