I copied and pasted the address you gave and got it. Just off south end of Barlow.

I used them in December ... in fact, am still using them. We needed to empty out our house a bit to put it on the market. The Pod is still in their storage facility and will be moved to our new house when we take possesion in June.
They have 3 box sizes. 8(W)x7(H)x7(L), 8(W)x8(H)x12(L), 8(W)x8(H)x26(L). I used the 8x8x16, and it costs $317 per month (partial) to have it stored in their heated and secure facility. On top of that, its a $150 fee for dropping it off at your new place, picking it up and storing it, then dropping it off at your new place.

It was very convienent to have it at my place for a number of days to fill.

I dont know where there location is. It doesnt really matter because they pick up and drop off the pod.

Bump! Has any one used one of these recently? If so, are you willing to share the cost, good/bad experience? Would you recommend them? Recommend someone else? Thanks!

If its something you want to pack up over time then PODS is probably a better option, but if its just a one-time deal to load up your pod and then ship it/have it shipped, UHAUL also has a same deal (Orange Box or somethign they call it) and it is much cheaper than the $300 quoted above. They aren't very secure in my opinion though.

We looked at this when we moved, ended up being cheaper for us to rent a storage unit since the place we used offered the first month free. Need a truck or uhaul cube van to move stuff into storage.

Not sure about your situation but there is no way I could pack up my house in one day.

That's why mobile homes are so much better. Makes moving a breeze! Even easier is living in a van down by the river.

I don't understand what the difference is. If you use old fashioned cardboard boxes you can take your time and don't have to pack or unpack them immediately?

You're able to pack up an entire house top to bottom, move it to a new house and unpack it all into its final place in one day? Okay, hero.

Uh, yeah, that's generally how people move. Pack your crap up over the course of a couple of weeks. Leave the packed boxes in the garage, living room or room you packed them. Moving truck pulls up on move day, load it up and them unload it at the new place. Four to six hours with three to four guys.

You definitely have the living room and bedrooms basically set up that night because they're just big pieces of furniture. Put the kitchen boxes in the kitchen and get cracking on those that night or over the next couple of days. It's not a month long job.

I made an order for a Pod that is being dropped off May 1 for packing while we move out, then shipped to Vancouver, where it's being stored for 12 months, then will be delivered to an address in the Vancouver area. We also can gain access to the Pod during the storage period, which is nice. We went with the smallest size pod.

Breakdown was roughly;

$70 for curbside dropoff at Calgary address
$1100 to transport to Vancouver
$160/month for storage

One additional cost I was unaware of when I made the order was the $17.50/day the city of Calgary charges to have the pod sitting on the street in front of our place.

Overall it's not bad, seemed more affordable than traditional moving companies.

Well this way you only have to pick up each box once to load it. Plus you can move things like the spare room, and miscellaneous stuff in a few evenings instead of killing yourself the day of the move. Maybe when you get to your new place you want to paint the walls in a few rooms before unloading, or do some other stuff. I could see how moving this way would be handy. Obviously you don't need to take a full month to do it, but it would take some of the stress out of moving in one day.
