Man, I totally doubted everything after the first quarter of the season.

Funny how goaltending ended up playing such a crucial role. Both Elliott and Johnson had massive roles in this.

Thought Bennett and chiasson both had one of their best games of the year. Man, if Bennett can become a force the flames would have incredible depth with 3 lines capable if being extremely effectively offensively.

GO FLAMES GO!!

I don't post often, but this was a big win. Playoffs!!!!1111!!!

I thought Chaisson had a lot of jump all night and that goal showed his hands. Bennett looked great and deserved that empty netter. 1st line was good. Backlund line was a little off offensively, but they did their job defensively. Elliott was amazing. I'm excited for the playoffs. Goal tending like that raises my expectations for the playoffs.

The car flags go up tomorrow.

Rebuilding for 4 years.

Make the playoffs 2 out of those 4 years.

That's how you rebuild properly.

Not rebuild 3 times over 10 years and finally make the playoffs in year 11 only because you fluked out and won a lottery with improved odds because the league changed the odds because you were so terrible for so long and nobody wanted you picking 1st overall anymore.

Today is World Backup Day...the late Moose has certainly backed up Elliott and shined.

Would really like a first round B of A. And prefer to open on the road frankly. That's the whole reason I watch sports.

Honestly, the only thing that would worry me about playing Edmonton is the obvious favoritism that McDoofus gets from the refs. The Oilers' PP is admittedly quite deadly, and I worry that the Flames would be penalized every time they so much as breathed in McDingleberry's direction.

Other than that, the Flames are superior in just about every other category, especially in defence and scoring depth. And I would argue that Elliott is just as good, if not better than Talbot.

Very proud of the boys.

Brian Elliott you are amazing. Without your stellar play in the first period we don't win this game. Without your stellar play in the second half of the season we don't make the playoffs.

Wonder if Versteeg-Bennett-Chiasson and Bouma-Stajan-Brouwer is going to become the new 3rd and 4th lines now.

I wouldn't mind it.
