I love it. Tkachuk is just plain entertaining for so many reasons. The Kings are going to be angry tonight and I hope the Flames come out hard, relentless on the fore check. I like good, old time hockey, I am all for the rough stuff but tonight is a night to win on the scoreboard. If they can play a rough and tough game tonight and still win it is icing on the cake, Tkachuk will be leading the way tonight. I think he elevates his play for these types of games and I can't wait!

Are you kidding? For one Iggy has more class than to target a popular kid in this city and two, Matt is a lot smarter than you think. he wouldn't fight Iginla.

See that's a professional #### disturber right there. Just when you think he's ruffled enough feathers he raises the bar – “oh you didn’t like that, we’ll you’re going to love this then!”. I imagine he'll have some interested opposition tonight - but that’s exactly his game. If the opposition is more worried about him, then that bodes well for the flames.
Love the way this kid is developing and establishing himself.

Just giving him an "A" would rustle quite a lot of jimmies across the league.

I think this was a smart, calculated move by Tkachuk. Now he's made it about him and Doughty. Why he should he have to fight Nolan or Clifford? If Doughty is pissed off he can settle it himself. For a veteran like Doughty to have someone else do his fighting for him is a bad look. Well played Chuck, well played.

I'd love to see Tkatchuk mop the floor with Doughty tonight.

If Tkachuk is going to play the way he does and is going to start calling out key players on opposition teams in the media, he better be ready to answer to it on the ice. It's what I'd demand from a similar s**t disturber on any other team.

1) Iginla would stomp Tkachuk and Ferland. If something happens where Iginla drops with either of those two, someone should jump in quickly. Do not kid yourself. Iginla would clean both their clocks (and i'm a fan of all three guys)
2) I think it will be Doughty and I think it wont be much of a fight.
3) If it's clifford, someone should jump in and help.
I think what you'll see is Engellend on the ice with Tkachuk for the first line up against Doughty. Just in case.

Have you watched Ferland fight? He's an animal, and has been since junior. 5 years ago Iginla may have done alright, I don't think he'd fare very well now unless he was using his old man strength to wrestle Ferland to the ice.

I love Tkachuk, but if he's not ready to back up his on the line, sometimes over it play and talk, and is going to hide behind other players, then he gets demoted to mouthy p***y, akin to Burrows, IMO.
*Note: This doesn't apply to a 5 minute per game goon on another team, who would win the fight just by taking Tkachuk off the ice for 5 mins.

I hate dirty plays (didn't see the play in question), but I hate the kings even more (I think)
I'm conflicted
but I think I'll watch tonight.

It would be an interesting fight. Iginla is really good technically. He doesn't open himself up much and he can slip and duck punches very well. Plus he's strong as a bull. Doesn't quite have a heavy punch, but he can take a punch and keep going.
Ferland doesn't fight with much technical ability, he just goes savage. It's a non-stop barrage of heavy rights, each one with the intent to knock you out. Eventually, he will gas, but no one has really stayed in a fight long enough with him to get to that point; Bieksa scouted Ferland a lot before he fought him, you can tell, Bieksa was very technical in his fight and may have won on points, but at the end Bieksa kind of bailed when Ferland wasn't slowing down. Iggy probably could weather the storm though and come out on top.
I'd hate to see it cause they are two of my favourites, but it would be a real interesting fight.

He definitely has to answer the bell if it rings. I am kind of dreading him not. Don't mess with the bull if you aren't prepared for the horns. I would hate to have a Burrows or Kesler on this team *BARF*. P.S. Ferland would take Iggy sorry to say.

He's that rare pocket fighter that has a genuine knockout punch and people have to be leery of it when they step off with him.
The biggest thing is what you said, through juniors his fights didn't last long because of that knockout punch that came from Utica. He gets into a longer fight and he's at a disadvantage. He gets into a strategic fight that needs lots of patience he won't do well.

Ferland would get not do well. I love Ferly but he's not a great fighter. He has heavy mitts and is tough, but horrible technically. Iggy is very technical and also tough, he would pick apart Ferly.

I think Iginla fighting Ferland would be a very poor decision unless he can ensure he gets in tight at the start and wraps Ferland's arms up.
I doubt there is any fights tonight anyways. Game matters too much, and I'm sure the NHL will have read the Kings their rights before they even showed up at the Dome today.

Depends on who wants to make him answer the bell. If it's Doughty himself, then sure. Anyone else, forget it.
