while playing for a crappy team must be tough, it's not like Mackinnon is playing well. He's been inconsistent his entire career and takes off months at a time.
I think he's a fabulous player when he's on but he's off way too much for someone with his tool box. He should be one of the best players in the game. He has size, skill, and speed. He's the much better version of Colborne. Not enough heart.

Nice game to pad the stats after three straight gruelling battles on the road. Was hoping Monahan would pot the empty netter but Gaudreau getting it works too.
PS. Standings in the West are just ridiculous right now. San Jose is getting closer to a wild card spot -- can you imagine they finish as the #2 wildcard and have to play Chicago in the first round?

I love how Flames fans think the Oilers would be a cake walk for them in the first round. A lot of them saying our depth sucks but nobody outside of their top line can score the last 5-6 games.
Pat is way too even keel for his own good. I feel like he could spice up OT with the odd homer comment. Particularly with all the no good fans that tune in/call in. Or just go out on some sort of limb. I hope he knows he's allowed to now and then.
