That was also the first game back from the mandated 5 day break where they couldn't practice. Very few teams managed to get wins after the 5 day break.

A good friend of mine is an Avalanche fan, the poor soul was commenting today that he would be upset if the Avs don't lose tonight. He said something to the effect of "I would feel bad if we gave up point to scrubs like the Oilers and did not lose to the Flames"

We are going to watch together tonight and he is going to cheer for the Flames.

Avs could be a dangerous team. They've earned 93% of their points with regulation or OT wins, unlike the horseshoe-fed Flames who only have 86% of their points earned in ROW.

GFG!
Yippee, odds have been posted, Flames are heavy favourites as expected. Blues too.

I think this team really likes to win....you can't tell.

Make the playoffs and wow

Win a round .....yeah it makes me giddy thinking about this team doing some serious damage that no one sees coming.

Let's win tonight and beat them damn ducks and keep the momentum going .
Go flames go

Like MAF starting 2 games for Penguins in the last playoffs? I'm sure other examples can be found, but that was kind of an obvious one that came to mind.

AC, can you gif Monahan and Gio's double right arm pump to each other? Camera angle barely caught it on the reply (high cam behind the net). It was a thing of beauty, like a call and response from the two.

Monahan's OT goal the other night.

Gio was injured for all of the 2015 run so he must be getting pretty pumped to get there. Hasn't suited up for a playoff game since 2009, really looking forward to seeing him get in there. He seems like he will be a beast in the playoffs.

Whenever I think of game winning moments I always remember Kobasew skating jumping and missing the pile in 2004....funny and glorious.

Or during the mayhem of the Saprykin game 5 OT winner in Tampa, Chris Simon bailing on the ice because he only had one skate on.

It might be cursing things, hopefully not, but this team just reminds me of that 2004 team that just refused to die and got addicted to winning.

The main difference is that this team is just more spread out talent wise then that team was.

Seriously. They really do look painted on like some evil Looney Toons character. That's awesome.
