Zednik demoted to second line

With his very poor performace in the first nine games Richard Zednik has found his way into Marc Crawford's dog house. In 9 games Zednik has registered only 2 points while line mates Milan Michalek and Alex Tanguay have combined for 30 points in the same time frame.

Jamie Langenbrunner has been moved up to take his spot on line 1, while Zednik has been moved down to line 2 with Brendan Morrison and R.J. Umberger.

"Jamie has not really been clicking the way we had hoped and Richard is really struggling, so we thought a swap might help both guys out."

The new lines will be featured in tomorrow nights game against the Colorado Avalanche.

I wouldn't. He has a whole 2 pts in 9 games on line 1 while his two linemates are both top 10 in league scoring. Moving him with new linemates will probably help him.
