The saga of healthcare keeps taking crazy turn after crazy turn. Obamacare didn't do enough to lower premiums and deductibles for enough people, so people voted in someone who would fix it with promises that would only make them worse off. And then Obamacare survived only because it wasn't doing enough to make them worse off.
So the democrats need to go to Trump with their fix for the ACA. It's win/win it either fixes the ACA or Trump gets blamed on healthcare again. (The problem is that house Dems likely have also spent the last 7 years not woeking on a solution)
It's an amazing spin job they with the presidency, and both houses they will blame the Dems for not supporting it.

The Republicans have a 44 seat advantage in the House. When Trump says they were 6-12 votes short of passing it, that really means there were at least 28 of their own people who weren't willing to vote for it.

I liked the speech Trump did after they pulled the Bill. Democrats are in a Lose Lose right now. For them to play partisan politics particularly on a terrible alternative that is Obamacare is bad politics for them. Trump saying he wants Democratic support for a new Bill is him reaching out. The people need a government that works together. Expecting 100% support or opposition from a party on any Bill is not real politics.
So lets hear from people that are living in the US on this forum and their view on Obamacare. Is it working for you or has it been a disaster? Hillary just tweeted its a great day for Americans. I have previously posted my grievances. My rates went up 49%. Coverage decreased and deductibles increased. Most people I know make over $15,000 so do not get covered for free healthcare. Some make 30-50k per year and they cannot afford the premium hikes. They will need to pay the $4500 Obamacare tax. Are there any people on this forum who live in the USA that have anything positive to say about Obamacare?
So about Trump's insistence that this is all part of some grand plan to see Obamacare fail and hang it all on the Democrats: even it that were true, the best possible outcome of that is that it allows the Republicans to get a mix of hardliners and moderates elected, and control of both the house and the senate, and the presidency, so that they can... be exactly back where they were yesterday with all the power that the system can provide and zero ability to get anything done with all that power.
