Welcome to Edmonton, Connor. Don't mess up everything we've built the last 5 years! #FutureIsBright
I'm convinced the moment he tweeted this, management was done with Hall as an Oiler.

The Oilers’ superstar, Conner McDavid, really showed what a team with Conner McDavid on it can do again last night as the Anaheim Ducks took a 4-3 win in regulation. The budding hall of famer bested his previous record for career points with a goal and two assists and was set to give a statement regarding the watermark accomplishment to the press, post-game. The youthful wonder was cut short at the podium, however, as Oilers’ owner, Daryl Katz, instinctively wandered over and placed his arms around McDavid, in a firm yet gentle embrace, while releasing a deeply contented sigh, his head snuggled soundly at the breast of the franchise Phenom. Meanwhile, in the background, Oilers’ goaltender, Cam Talbot (14-18, .778, 31:24), was cleanly captured on film urinating into an unmarked water-bottle.

Would have been better if instead of the podium and the hug happened in the dressing room, and instead of McDavid being naked, Katz was.

Who knows what the next adventure of Katz and McDavid will bring?

I for one eagerly await the next episode.

CP has really come up with some gems in the last while. ATLR, Snek, and now this. Keep up the good work folks.

Nice to see Talbot struggling. Why was he even starting against the Avs anyways? Back to back after traveling and against the league's worst team.

Makes absolutely zero sense. The only thing I can guess is they believe he plays better the more he plays, and they think he can keep it up through the playoffs. Or they're just dumb. E=NG so I'll go with dumb.

If I'm playing edmonton in the playoffs, I'm running Talbot and getting a ton of traffic in his way that will bump him.

I'm leaning on McDavid and hacking and slashing his hands whenever I can. Frankly I want to make it impossible for him to be played at 22 minutes a night. Plus the more I agravate him, the more that idiots like Kassian and Moroon will lose their stuff and start taking dumb penalties.

Outside of that first line, the Oilers 2nd 3rd and 4th line aren't worrying especially.

I respect the Oilers first pairing even though I think that Klefbom is really over rated. But after that I'm getting pucks deep and forcing mistakes.

Risky. If you so much as breathe on McDavid you're risking a penalty.

Put Ferland on the case. He hits so hard and almost never takes a penalty for it.

If I can cut back his ice time, maybe bruise up his hands and make his life miserable. And make the Oilers rely on their lack of depth.

Its a risk I'm willing to take.

I still shake my head when I think about the 2 minute roughing and ten min misconduct Tkachuck got for just getting in his face after McDavid took a cross checking penalty against him.

I mean personally its better then the 70's hockey plan where you break his jaw with a cross check by your most useless one time only goon and put him out for the playoffs and risk losing game one with a 5 minute penalty.

Or how about the 60's Russian plan where you send a guy after him at night with an umbrella loaded with poison.

Personally I prefer the scooby doo plan where you lure him to an abandoned amusement park and have Mean Mr Smithers distract him with a mystery about a ghost in suit of armor.
