The only thing the coach should take heatfor is the lack of creativity on the PP. Preds have absolutely answered our PP and no changes were made.

Right, cause that's why he didn't start Elliott. Has nothing to do with goaltending work load management for a team that still has 9 more games to go and likely a playoff series to try and win.
Not sure GG is the one being rediculous.

Omg, look at the result. Why not just wait until they're playing a garbage team. Elliot could easily have handled Caps, Preds and Blues, then put Johnson in against Colorado or LA or both. Use your good guy against the two good teams your are fighting for a spot with. Completely the wrong call imo. Get the points and then rest your best
|

I'm not even mad Elliott didn't start, Gully wanted Johnson to have a rebound game and if he did we would be praising him for trusting Johnson. Sucks that Johnson let in 3 goals on the first 12 shots but Elliott still can't play every game for the rest of the year.

Talbot and McDavid are going to be so tired hopefully we face them in the playoffs.

I get the "play him against his old team" mentality but things are a little too important to be picky about starts right now.

Also I realize I'm being super neggy tonight. But I dgaf...wanted/expected a good showing from the Flames tonight against an opponent they should beat so I'm ticked.

Maybe Elliott needs a rest now, not a week from now. What has he played something like 14 of the last 15 and his only day off was when he was sick. Also, not sure if you looked, but we don't play any garbage teams.
Sorry, every game left us equally important. You have to rest him sometime. You'd be crying about it no matter which game it was if we lost so what's the difference?
