Not that I fully agree with the sentiment, as both guys have had strong games, but maybe it could be because Bennett is currently the significantly inferior player in most respects.

our bottom 6 and bottom pairing d can not handle the caps bottom 6 and bottom pairing at all. that's the main weakness of the roster right now

Caps appear to be able to 'turn it on' to some degree. Not like the 90s wings or anything, but they seem to pull away when shifting into high gear.

Washington doesn't loose at home . The crossbar on the breakaway was too bad.
You have to play perfect against Washington to win . And even then your chances aren't great
