Damn, could have really used Ferland against a big LA team. Expecting Johnny to have a tough time out there tonight as the Kings are desperate and there's no one to keep them in check when he's on.
If Ferland is out, not the worst thing. The Kings and Ducks are always ready for him. The playoffs against ANA in Game 1, Ferland was off to the room by his third shift after each Duck he tried to hit aka Vancouver series, got their arm or elbow up in his face.
Give him a rest, hope Lazar brings that physical side tonight with all his pent up enthusiam.

Gaudreau has 12 points in 12 games vs the Ducks and and 11 points in 11 career game vs the Kings. His fate is tied to how well he plays so much more then Ferland. (or anyone else).

Lazar seems like a logical choice to fill in the top spot if Ferland is out IMO. Why split up the 4th line with how they've been rolling?? Lazar's skill set/style has similarities to Ferly as well. Hopefully Ferland is good to go though, big reason we beat the kings last time.
While I agree, they broke it up last game with the Bennett demotion.
I would have agreed with you even 2 weeks ago, but Chaisson looks like has really found his stride, and that line needs a guy *like* him to create room as Ferland has done a bunch of late. Chaisson for a game or 2 is probably the right call as it doesnt really hurt SM and JG and keeps the Bennett line intact who have also been very effective in their role of late.
M - M - M (Not touching this line with a 10 foot pole)
Gaudreau - Monahan - Versteeg (Obvious choice to replace Ferland even if hes on his offside)
Bennett - Lazar - Brouwer (Lazar is much more comfortable playing C than wing, helps ease him into the lineup)
Bouma - Stajan - Chiasson (This line is rolling not touching it)

You don't move a guy who found his stride on the fourth to the first line when that guy went to the fourth line because he can't keep up with the top 3 lines. His skating is awful. His hands are worse and he doesn't have a mean streak with his size.
Are you guys guessing at the lines or saying what you'd rather see? Cause if you're guessing than here is the actual line-up, from the Curtis Lazar thread.
FORWARDS
Johnny Gaudreau - Sean Monahan - Alex Chiasson
Matthew Tkachuk - Mikael Backlund - Michael Frolik
Kris Versteeg - Matt Stajan - Troy Brouwer
Curtis Lazar - Sam Bennett - Lance Bouma
DEFENCE
Mark Giordano - Dougie Hamilton
TJ Brodie - Michael Stone
Matt Bartkowski - Deryk Engelland
GOALTENDER
Brian Elliott

I'll add my thoughts on Bennett and Lazar playing fourth line from the other thread since this is the actual game day thread.
I predict the no pressure vibe of being the 4th line, playing easy minutes, combined with the unpredictable nature of having unknown chemistry between skilled players will result in a goal for that line tonight.
I'm very excited for what they can do with this opportunity. That'll be a very difficult line for LA's 4th line to contain. They're not your typical grinders.

Would this be that line's theme song?

Apparently, you do.

Would normally agree with this, but Chaisson has looked decent lately and seems to be playing with more confidence. He might be a decent stop gap until Ferland is better.
