Anybody else notice how the right side defensemen are constantly launching quick shots from the boards even when relatively high?
We've seen some lucky goals go in relatively recently (Wideman and Hamilton come to mind). Wonder if that's a reason for the L/R pairing that Gulutzan likes as it seems to be a systemic regular occurrence.

100% defence.
Goalies haven't been great either but they have zero structure and don't play in their own zone.
Jamie Benn and Seguin are bad leaders. Benn went from one of the most underrated in the league to the most overrated.
It's also no wonder the Bruins didn't want Seguin, is he even playing? He gets his points and does little else.

They lost like 4 of their top 6 defensemen from last season and have had to compensate with a bunch of rookies. The rookies have actually been doing alright considering everything but when you have a weak defense that gets even weaker with the gaping hole known as their goaltending, on top of major injuries all year... Not much the players that are playing can do.

HUGE holes.
Thing is there are few guys i would want to try and fix it more than Jim NIll.
