No slumping allowed.

Any minus player will be shipped to the Gulags of northern Saskatchewan for 6 months of hard labor.

That includes you Johnny! They eat people like you up there.

Dallas has been awful this year. They are on a back to back and their captain/best player might miss the game. This is a must win for Calgary.

Hope Lazar draws in but the 4th line has played well as of late. Now is as good a time as any to have him debut

Moose hasn't lost since Feb 5th against the Rangers.

He's 10-0-1 since then and is currently on a 9 game win streak.

Keep the Moose streak alive.

Also, if Stone draws back in he has never lost a game as a Flame!

Perhaps:

Versteeg - Bennett - Lazar

Brouwer - Stajan - Chiasson

Let Lance have a night off - Preferably Brouwer should probably sit but they wont let that happen on the off chance the Troy we've all hoped for comes out to play.

We have won 10 of the last 11, why would we want to change a winning line up?

That's unfortunate that we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs if we lose tonight, especially after that monster winning streak. Too bad.

Ciamar a tha sibh lasraichean daoine

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Kind of ironic we'll be playing a team in green uniforms (well white with green).

Hopefully that doesn't confuse the hockey gods and Catholic saints.

Go Flames Go

Sláinte Mhath!

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Pretty good indications Michael Stone is back in tonight. Wideman and Andersson skating as an extra pairing. #Flames

Wes Gilbertson @WesGilbertson
No sign of G Jon Gillies this morning. With #Flames G Brian Elliott feeling better, likely en route back to Stockton. Was emergency recall.

Aaron Vickers @AAVickers
Elliott and Johnson your two goalies. No Gillies today. Could see Elliott back in net tonight, methinks. #Flames

Lollll.

In all seriousness, almost all games are must wins because we need to finish ahead of the Oilers for a true win on the season.

This is a good game to show the Flames are a good team, and not just a hot team.

Know what, I hope the oilers finish ahead of the flames. Let them get a bit more cockier and watch their bubble burst will be delightful.

I'm fine with that if we play them in the first round and crush them.

Order will then be restored.

I thank the all mighty(s) of every religion that exists.

This has been the best update since Wideman was first benched.

Flames slumping right now would be terrible, and so would losing to lowly Dallas in the midst of an important stretch run. However at this point they aren't just a hot team.

Since Nov 15th:

Played 54 games (66% of a full season)
34-17-3 (0.657 points %) <- 5th in the league
153 goals scored (2.83 goals per game) <-13th in the league
131 goals against (2.42 goals against per game) <-4th in the league
+22 goal differential
PP and PK both in the top half of the league

They really look like they are actually a good team who happens to be exceptionally hot right now.

They were a playoff bubble team before the streak.

In the next few games we'll get to see if they're a bubble team or if they legitimately found another gear.

Dont like the term must-win game but cant afford to lose games like this. A team that is out of it and has struggled with goaltending and defense all year should be beaten. Cant give up points against the weaker teams especially with how the schedule is next week
