I only listen to Rome during the NFL season because I am an NFL fan.

But reading some of the comments in here it really seems like no one actually listens to him.

So this pretty much confirms you're in your 50s, eh?

Steady, that is getting a little too close to home...

I like the Rome show because you get news you wouldn't otherwise hear if you didn't have satellite radio. Like college football, and baseball news that isn't the Jays.

EDIT: Ha. I only read about half the thread and I wrote basically the exact thing EE did.

Haha, I only tune in on Mondays and Fridays when Freidman is on. Other than that, the morning show is okay, but I'm not a fan of Rhett. He's not funny and really adds nothing of value. He's kinda just there because people care about his opinion for some reason.

Jim Rome.

You don't like Jim Rome.
I think Jim Rome is the best thing that is aired on 960 outside of a Flames game and (possibly) the overtime call-in show (for it's mockability)... but this was fantastic.

I am not that old but why would that matter? Is there something wrong with 50 year old adults?

I used to like listening to Rome about 5 to 10 years ago. Some of his takes were pretty funny. But I haven't listened to him in years. Guy was a pretty decent interviewer. I never did like his clone takes though. The Smackoff was terrible radio.

I like sports other than hockey, but Rome continuously slams them and then devotes entire shows to horse racing and UFC. But lol, orange slices and ties, good one Jim.

Was making a joke about you thinking terrestrial radio is the only way to follow other sports. The world of podcasts beckons you. Heed its call.

Hard to flip a table over radio.

He still has some really solid takes and is great at asking interesting questions that most definitely aren't "softies". Most people know his game at this point, so they aren't going to go on his show if they don't think they'll keep their cool.

Get Mike Richards to do the entire morning show as Steve Armitage.

Did anybody just hear Pat's Mario impression just now? It was so bad I had to pull over, I was laughing too hard.

I don't know many married men wouldn't take offense to that accusation.
