I like the Rome show because you get news you wouldn't otherwise hear if you didn't have satellite radio. Like college football, and baseball news that isn't the Jays.
EDIT: Ha. I only read about half the thread and I wrote basically the exact thing EE did.

Haha, I only tune in on Mondays and Fridays when Freidman is on. Other than that, the morning show is okay, but I'm not a fan of Rhett. He's not funny and really adds nothing of value. He's kinda just there because people care about his opinion for some reason.
I think Jim Rome is the best thing that is aired on 960 outside of a Flames game and (possibly) the overtime call-in show (for it's mockability)... but this was fantastic.

I used to like listening to Rome about 5 to 10 years ago. Some of his takes were pretty funny. But I haven't listened to him in years. Guy was a pretty decent interviewer. I never did like his clone takes though. The Smackoff was terrible radio.
I like sports other than hockey, but Rome continuously slams them and then devotes entire shows to horse racing and UFC. But lol, orange slices and ties, good one Jim.
Yeah, back when he had some guts. Try finding anything like that in the last 5 years.
Hard to flip a table over radio.
He still has some really solid takes and is great at asking interesting questions that most definitely aren't "softies". Most people know his game at this point, so they aren't going to go on his show if they don't think they'll keep their cool.
