“Burrows only guy who said he wanted to hurt me like me father did — why I can’t stand him,” O’Sullivan tweeted. “Right to my face, twice actually. Once in the minors and once in Vancouver early in my career.”
POS, IMO

The Player's Tribune articles are just amazing reads no matter the player or the sport.
I can't stand Burrows, the guy is 1000% a rat but I don't doubt for a second his love, desire, appreciation for the city of Vancouver & Canuck fan's along with the organization as a whole.
Say what we will about the player that Burrows is but at the end of the day the NHL is littered with players who don't realize the privilege and honor it is to play in the NHL and be part of a team.
I listen to a podcast called Spittin Chicklet's on Barstool Sports. On the podcast former NHL defenceman Ray Whitney talks about it all the time with current and former players.
The best news about all of this is that Burrows is now officially out of the division so we don't need to see his ass as often as before.
Hate the hockey player, and the Canucks organization, but that was a good article.
The section talking about his daughter having to watch all her friends leave the team as the Canucks traded away all their veterans was kinda touching - sometimes it can be easy to think "Oh they get paid millions so it doesn't matter" but for a 5 year old kid they don't know the difference.

For the game, yes: Scoring the goal, in overtime, to win that series, will probably go down as the most famous play of my career.
After I read that, I turned into some weirdo making a face like I was extremely constipated, and almost shouted: "No. No. No... No it is not. Biting Bergeron's finger is the play for which you will always be remembered for."

Garrett is so annoying.. "Wideman had that glove off in a hurry..." - I wonder what he was implying? He is one of the most insufferable color guys around (I didn't like him when he did Calgary games either).
I'm not going to defend Burrow's actions in anyway on the ice he's as low as it gets for me. But....
My daughter does gymnastics in the afternoon and during her time the club has a lot of physically and mentally challenged kids in. I chatted with two women that have worked at one of the houses for quite a number of years and they both said Burrows was by far the best Vancouver athlete they have ever had associated with their house. He stopped by so many times and did so many things for those kids it was above and beyond. He even stopped to see one older boy in particular that he had been seeing for years to tell him in person that he had been traded but assured him he would be back in the summer to play hockey with him.
Just a tidbit about the person.
