Hopefully they can re-group and come out hard next game because I don't think it's a gimmie.
Dallas has been bad this year but they got spanked in Edmonton yesterday and will likely come out in a bad mood looking to prove something.
Can't sleep on a team in that situation.

If anything I think this game will help wake them up and they'll play a good game Friday. Lazarus time

If we play the east/west game like we did tonight it could be a long night.

wtf game did you all watch? Chad Johnson was the reason we lost? The bruins goalie was attrocious as well.
Things that were bad in the game:
- Flames PP
- Flames passing
- Flames breakout
- Flames positioning
- Flames skating
- Flames communication
Chad didn't do the flames any favours, and he let in a couple weak ones, but they played bad as a team. Hamilton's and Chiasson's goals were both softys.

They had to lose eventually. Great streak they went on so it's tough to be upset but it's a bit annoying knowing if Elliott is in net we likely win that.
Johnson was a train wreck. Weak goals, horrible rebound control, and who knows what he was doing on that Marchand goal.
Also agree with the "Brouwer needs to be way better" camp. He's been nothing short of a massive disappointment so far.
I thought all our guys looked off tonight, some more than others. They got a bit too cute with it at times.
But again, this was their first bad game in a month, so I'll give them a pass. Hopefully they can start a new streak Friday.

Talk is cheap when it comes to comments from Gio. That's all you heard when we were losing.
They got frustrated with the way the Bruins were defending and panicked. Need to be more patient and stick to their north/south style of play. That's what will bring them success in the playoffs

When my wife commented that the Flames were a step behind, passing poorly and unable to clear the zone well, and have a PP that can't keep control of the puck....that's when I knew it was done.
Disappointing. Guess it's hard on The Chad - he didn't have a lot of prep time, and that's a lot of pressure for him - guess it got to him. Oh, well....bring on the next game!

Johnson was way worse. Atleast Khudobin stopped letting in bad goals after the Hamilton goal. Really it should have went into OT 1-1.

Panicked?
Frustrated overall maybe but "panicked" is an odd assertion.

Which of the two goals that the flames scored would have gone in on Rask? The 60ft goal by Hamilton, or the joke of a shot by Chiasson.
I can tell you which three goals Eliott isn't stopping.

Flames' Johnson had major shortcomings tonight.
Totally deflated after first 2, and Boston can sure clog #### up.

Honestly this could be a blessing in disguise, now we get to see how this team responds after being pretty flawless the last month. Feel very confident about the remaining games with Stone and Elliott coming back shortly. Just a hiccup in my mind.

Khudobin got his focus back after the Hamilton goal and was the much better down the stretch. Johnson on the other hand gave the Flames forwards and d men no confidence that he was going to have their backs.

That game was an instructional video on what bad goaltending does to a team's play.
Also, I have been a vocal critic of the Saddledome ice for years, but that was by far the worst it has evr been.
