Not sure what that is. will talk to tech to fix.
We have changed the site a bit.
LWOS is the main hub, and then we have 14 sites under a multi-site set up. (think a smaller version of SBNation and similar sites).
You are looking for lastwordonhockeyprospects.com
I'll still get tech to look into that.

fixed
it was linking to lastwordonprospects.com (which was then redirecting to the spam site) instead of our site, lastwordonhockeyprospects.com

So the Kelleher to NJ rumor was wrong.
He signed an AHL deal with Milwaukee who is the AHL affiliate to the Predators:

His stats exploded a bit in his final year here - hope he continues to grow, the small guys in the league today are making hockey even more exciting..

Boston College lost the Hockey East final tonight and will not qualify for the NCAA Tournament.
This means that all of their seniors' seasons are done and any undrafted seniors are now UFAs, including a young man by the name of Matty Gaudreau.

The guy really took advantage of his scholarship - finished a double major in finance and management with a minor in economics in 3 years and named to Hockey East All Academic team each year.

Well that didn't last long, according to ECHL transactions Morgan was released a couple of days ago.

Junior Gaudreau's stat line isn't too bad
40GP 8G 27A 35PTs
He was tied for the points lead for Boston College. Does he possibly find an AHL/NHL contract?

^ if Matty wasn't the same size as Johnny that stat line would look more appealing but he's tiny - which we have learned isn't the the be all end all but it takes a special player to pull it off.

all likelihood it will be an AHL deal for Matty. Kelleher was way more productive and even has a longer history of producing, but still settled for an AHL deal, granted Kellerher is even smaller than Matty.
Matty has also said that he doesn't expect a NHL deal

What are the draft rule regulations? Can a team draft a player regardless of age or are players eligible for the draft only during a specific age group?
I was just thinking that if a player decides to go back to school instead of signing a FA contract with a team. What would stop a team from drafting that player in the upcoming draft?

All of these guys are 21 years or older. If they were eligible to be drafted in upcoming drafts, a team couldn't sign them right now anyways.
What the CBA says about the eligibility of the draft:
Quote:
8.4 Eligibility for Claim.
(a) All Players age 18 or older are eligible for claim in the Entry Draft, except:
(i) a Player on the Reserve List of a Club, other than as a try-out;
(ii) a Player who has been claimed in two prior Entry Drafts;
(iii) a Player who previously played in the League and became a Free Agent
pursuant to this Agreement;
(iv) a Player age 21 or older who: (A) has not been selected in a previous
Entry Draft and (B) played hockey for at least one season in North
America when he was age 18, 19, or 20 and shall be eligible to enter the
League as an Unrestricted Free Agent pursuant to Article 10.1(d); and
(v) a Player age 22 or older who has not been selected in a previous Entry
Draft and shall be eligible to enter the League as an Unrestricted Free
Agent pursuant to Article 10.1(d).

Thanks Sureloss. So in terms of age. Is the player ineligible to be drafted if they are 21 in that calendar year? By the draft? By Sept?
So in theory if the Flames saw a 20 year old who was undrafted and looks to have a breakout year, they could draft that player instead of waiting for the following year and trying to get him as a FA.
I take it European players can be drafted at any age from what you posted.
Thanks for the clarification.
