So do they have to repeal Pittsburgh's Stanley Cup win and award it to us?
It seems only fair.

Noooooo, I don't want the Wideman Effect to gain power while we're in this winning streak!

I'm a bit surprised, but the judge's rationale makes sense. And it basically boiled down to language inconsistency within the CBA. Ouch.

Still glad he served 19. It should have been 40 for that BS.

we should totally discuss if he was guilty and how many games he should have really served. After all, we haven't had that kind of discussion before ...

10 games is fair. I'm sure he regrets it let's move on.

Ironic timing with Bettman in town and all? Biggest winner, Wideman's pocket book?
Maybe we need a really loud Wideman chant tonight, considering Bettman is likely to be in attendance.

Unless the chant is just booing, I doubt it will catch on.

10 was always the number...such much bad publicity for the league just for the sake of Gary's ego

What I find particularly interesting from reading the decision (20 brutal minutes of my life that I will never get back) is that the NHL's own witness, Stephen Walkom, Sr. VP and Director of Officiating, disagreed with Bettman and stated rather adamantly that Wideman likely made a mistake and did not likely intend to injure Henderson.
I can't imagine Bettman being happy that his own Director of Officiating's evidence was used by the arbiter to support Wideman. I even find that kind of funny. Bettman the lawyer presented a witness that ultimately supported the other side.

Since he pretty much served 20 games, they should let him get a 10 game suspension for free and just destroy a ref with no consequence.
Seems fair to me.

The chant should be - "It was ten!"
