I hope they make it out of low-grade cement and recycled paper clips, can't have Silly Hall ballin' out of control yet againl! This thing shouldn't cost more than $3000, there's a spending problem we need to reign in.

Surely they could have used the amazing bridge design that we came up with here on CP for the Peace bridge in this location?

Truthfully, this is long overdue. And I would imagine that it will help vehicular traffic flow as well as it will allow more efficient signal timings.
$13 million, half is coming from Cadillac Fairview and half from the city.

Doesn't seen too out of whack for the scope.

Which is why it's clearly visible in one of the two images that show a distance in significant excess of 10 meters.

Convenience man Convenience.

No one uses that overpass because its out of the way. I'm not going to trek through the Home Depot Lot then end up on the other side of the Chinook lot just to get to the entrance.

That tunnel was sketchy. You definitely had to make sure you had all your affairs in order and will up to date before taking that risk.

Is the bridge connecting straight into the mall or are people still crossing the street into the mall at grade?

It will connect directly to the mall. I believe that's the portion that will be privately built by CF...not sure about the time frame

Not to be glib but... so?

That bridge obviously doesn't work. This one will eliminate all pedestrian traffic off the roadway, off one of the busiest pedestrian crossing in the city.

The Rape Tunnel wasn't just a catchy name

Right to the mall, right to the 2nd floor food court.

The original plan called for another expansion of the mall on the other side of Macleod too. Probably on hold indefinitely for now.
