Actually, I have noticed that the Flames have gotten a lot of press coverage/attention lately.

Fleury was first off the ice for Pittsburgh. Looks like he'll start in net vs. the #Flames tonight.

obviously hope they win. not scared of PIT as much as I respect them.
could see us losing, and I still wouldn't feel shame.
Hoping for a good game. Actually have time to watch tonight.

Yup. Also now that it's been 14 years, people finally stopped calling fans from '03 bandwagon jumpers.

I wouldn't even be mad if the Flames lost tonight. Hopefully they can continue the steak but they're going to have to drop one eventually so there's no shame if it's to a great team like the Pens.

Pittsburgh now in position to grab top spot in the Metropolitan Division which I think should be pretty desirable. I know I'd prefer the top seed in that Conference. All series will be tough, but I think there is a difference between the last wild card team and the Rangers or dealing with Columbus or Washington in round one. So I expect the Penguins to be on their game.
Hopefully the Flames play a cleaner game than they did in Winnipeg and the Moose can continue his top notch play of late. Flames have played the Pens well the last three times the two teams met head to head. On of the best games they played last year was the game against the Pens at the dome. Backlund tends to play really well against Pittsburgh.

Agreed. We are going to have to accept a loss at some point. The key will be how they respond in the next game. I have noticed that losing streaks during the playoffs rarely turn out well.
I would be very happy if you told me right now the Flames would not lose twice in a row the ROY.

Oilers fans: Oh look, another team laying down for the Flames by starting their backup.

I only saw snippets of both Pit vs. Edm and Pit vs. Van, but every time I watched the first thought regarding the Penguins were relentless. They seemed to battle and work hard for everything. It's going to be a great game.

10 in a row of opponents laying down for the Flames. I can't wait for the greaser fans to start on their peak too early / opponents laying down / backup goalie line of excuses again if the Flames win.
It's like they do not realize that playing good defence tends to make the other team's offence look bad.

Well there's the problem right there.. that's two word not in the Oilers dictionary.

The Penguins looked anything but at the end of that Oiler game. As lax as a team could be.

This will be a tough test, as the Pens are playing well. Flames won't be able to mail it in for half the game like they did against Winnipeg. If they want the 2 points, they'll have to start strong right out of the gates and work hard for 60 minutes. If they can limit Crosby, I think they'll pull it off.
3-1 Flames.

I'm almost eager for the inevitable next loss for the Flames just to see the hilarious response from Oilers fans.

Tonight is giving me flashbacks to the game against Pittsburgh last year. I don't even remember what the score was (the Flames won though) but I definitely remember Gaudreau and Monahan combining for the awesome hacky sack goal and Bennett's unreal dangle. That was a great game to watch and I hope tonight's game can be as well.
Hoping for the same result as last year!

Flames seem to be playing to their opponents level during this streak for the most part. Not ideal but hopefully it hold up tonight against a strong team.
