Hopefully the Stars are starting to align for the Oilers to choke. If kings hang on they will be 7 points back. Oilers go on a say 3-4 game losing streak and kings Go on a little hot streak and win their head to head against the Oil, suddenly the Oilers are on the outside looking in. With how cocky their fans have become oh how i would love to read their boards if they miss the playoffs.

And another funny thing with Oilers fans who like to use the season series as a reason why a first round series would be an easy win, if you bring up the Flames' season series with the Wild in comparison their response is "So what?". lol

U know a fan base knows nothing about Playoffs when they use regular season as a indicator for how a playoff series will go. Theres Oilers fans who think they would beat the Hawks in a 7 game series just because they beat them in the regular season Lmfao. If anyone wants a great read i would suggest the Around the league thread on the Oilers HFboard sub-forum.

That would be so sweet! And Kings play the Oilers 3 more times before season's end so it's very possible!

Of course they're forgetting the fact that when the Flames lost those 4 games, they were playing arguably their worst hockey of the season. The current version of the Flames would likely finish the Greasers off in 5 games (6 at the most). Team depth, a balanced scoring attack, and good defence wins in the playoffs, and the Flames have all three. Oilers have Talbot and McDavid...and that's about it.

Biggest thing is the Flames aren't intimidated by playing bigger teams right now.
