I will be cheering for Wideman, I hope he plays well. I save my hatred for the Oilers.
I hope they rest Hamilton just in case, no need to aggravate anything.

Do we remember the last time Wideman was scratched?

He came back and played very well. I think he has something to prove. Well, I hope...

I sure hope Dougie plays, it really messes up the pairings if he doesn't.

Prove us wrong Dennis. I'll be cheering for you but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'm guessing Wideman will have a great game. Would be awesome if he managed to score. Its in the Flames best interest for him to find his game again and play well

You know the rest of the team is going well when all we can complain about is our 7th defenseman.

Very true, but it's very irritating that just as this team finds its way that we lose two top 4 right shot Dmen in the same bloody game.

So it's not so much about the #7 defenseman as it is about what led to us even having to talk about him at all.

To be fair, Wideman was playing as our #4 prior to this stretch.

Wideman as a #6 in the lineup shouldn't be a life or death situation.

I question his ability to actually make it happen, but this should be a man on a mission tonight - last chance to redeem the latter part of his career and really help his team.

Wideman 3, Jets 1. You can put it in the bank column.

I think Wideman is gonna bust his arse tonight. He's got a lot to prove and he'll be motivated.

I know the streak has to end eventually, but please don't let it be against a crap team like the Jets. Passing the Oilers and tying the Ducks tonight would be glorious.

Get the win tonight so HNIC panel can discuss how Calgary is now ahead of the Ducks and Oilers in the standings. Hopefully Dougie is in.

Give Hamilton the game off and let Andersson get his first game action. It's only the lowly Jets.

I just think Wideman's at a point in his career where he really doesn't have another gear anymore. Hope he proves me wrong though.

This is the attitude that loses games and gets coaches on the hot seat

We're 8-0 without Wideman
GG: Hmm, we'd better put him back in
