I can't help but post this.

from HFoil.

I don't mind Flames winning right now. It would be best for us to match against them in the playoffs. It will be an easy victory and I would love to watch the Oilers just destroy the Flames in front of a national audience. That will shut up their cocky delusional fans.
I would love to respond but I can't, . We are delusional so whatever I say won't matter. Can they seriously think we are the same team now? The team they swept 4-0 this season. I just hope the Oilers players are just as naive. Seems silly.

Man these Oiler fans in the ATL report are hilarious: "8 teams in a row laying down for the Flames smh...."

Looking forward to the Oilers too "laying down" for the Flames in the playoffs.

Great game by the Flames. Loved they got contributions from everyone. Johnny, Mony, Gio, Stone, Frolik, Elliot.

It looked like the Canadiens dman fell on Dougie's right leg (didn't look like the skate cut him), but maybe that was just the angle in the reply. Glad it's day-to-day and he won't be out too long.

Chapeau, Flames. Job well done. Habs looked like they closed Cowboys the night before.

Huh? There's no 3 on 3 or shootouts in playoffs so it strikes me as a meaningful measurement of a team.

It's ok to talk about corsi, goal for/against but not record in regulation? Why does it bother you or do you just have a problem with me and look for any reason to post something critical?

Again, it's a stat that only you and Oiler fans seem to care about. I guess you could compare that to stats that are widely, even officially tracked.

But there is OT in the playoffs. I don't think regulation wins is a useful measure of how the team will do in PO overtime games, since the play and the outcome is so different.

What's funny about this, and sorry the quote didn't come along was a couple of posts later another Oiler fan basically called him an idiot, said that the Flames were the same team that they were when the Oilers swept them, and that the Flames weren't the playoff matchup to feel good about.

They're like a bunch of panicked crazed puppies devouring each other over there.

Its glorious.

Martin Lemay of RDS said on TSN radio this morning when talking about the Flames/Habs game "I am not going to put my money on a team where Brian Elliott is the goalie". He made this comment at the 5:30 mark. I would like nothing better than Elliott to serve these broadcasters a big hot mess of crow to eat.

Ma francais n'est pas tres bien, mais, je pense que "chapeau" means "hat". Is there some idiomatic expression I don't know?

Also, the Flames MADE the Habs look like they closed Cowboys the night before...Total domination!

In this case «Chapeau» means «hats off»/«give credit to». it's a mark of recognition/appreciation.
