Two things that worry me about this game:

1. Price. The game plan for this one should be lots of shots and lots of traffic, and hopefully we can get at least a couple past him.

2. First game back after a 3-day break. These games almost never go well for the rested team, and I fully expect the Flames to have a sluggish start. They'll need to find their legs quickly if they want 2 points tonight. Otherwise, this amazing streak could come to an end.

I only wear this twice a year. I don't absolutely love the heritage jerseys but always love throwing this thing on for those two days. GFG!

Let's hope there is no letdown game today. It will say a lot about the team coming off a break, up against a tough opponent with a chance to tie Edm/Ana in points.

3-2 Flames win.

It's all lining up just perfectly. Flames play an awesome game and grab the "W" tonight. Oilers lose to the Pens on Friday to put us officially ahead of them.

Saturday the Flames take down a Jets team that is more-or-less out of it and the Oilers fail to keep pace by losing to these same Habs on Sunday.

Oiler fans cry 1) Why did the Habs lie down for the Flames; 2) It's not fair that they had to play a team no coming off a back-to-back.

Perfect Weekend!!

Don't sell tickets to Habs fans. Better to not talk to them at all.

Apparently you missed the deadline moves where the Habs traded 4 quarters worth of smurfs for a dollar's worth of big guys. (5 in, 5 out). I dunno how small they are anymore.

BTW, interestingly enough, according to TSN radio here in Montreal, Price is 4-5 lifetime versus Calgary and 1-6-1 versus Edmonton.

So if the Flames win in regulation, does that put them at .500 in regulation for the season? And +3 goals needed to be even?

Both would be nice!

It's funny how many "I'm worried about this game" posts there have been in GDTs lately. Of course one of these days the Flames will lose (not tonight though) and the posters will be all "I totally predicted this".

Gotta work on that. Flames are going to lose that 8th tie-breaker if they don't!!

According to McCurdy: How playoff odds change, based on tonight's outcome.

It looks like it's going to be a low scoring game based on how Elliott and Price have played, but I hope not.

5-4 Flames !

They aren't so smurfey anymore. At the trading deadline they added:

Steve Ott 6'0"" 190 - 1500 career pims
Jordie Benn 6'2" 200
Dwight King 6'4" 232
Andreas Martinsen 6'3" 220

Radulov's listed at 6'2'' 205 but he's not playing
Adding Webber also makes them more physical.

That said their game is skating and forechecking.

Hoping for a great game tonight - both teams can skate and play a disciplined system. Wouldn't mind seeing some playoff intensity out there

My guess is for the benefit of fans in Quebec.
Any start past 9pm is bad news for TV here.

Seems like a trap game after all the positive press and 3 days off. Hopefully they show up ready to play.
