Default Campbell admits it was in

Is this the first time someone official in the NHL admitted it was in?

http://www.tsn.ca/no-appetite-for-ru...l-gms-1.690052

Campbell couldn't help but recall those rare instances when a wrong call led to an unfortunate, unforgettable result. He noted the Calgary Flames dropping Game 6 of the 2004 Stanley Cup final after an apparent Martin Gelinas go-ahead goal was ruled to have not crossed the line

There was no wrong "call", there was no call at all.

Clearly we need to open up an Xfile on the Wideman effect.. it goes deeper than we know it appears.. seemingly spanning different timelines and eras..

Surely the american station which was streaming the games in HD has better footage of that play stocked away somewhere. All we ever got was that blurry low frame rate standard definition footage from CBC and a quick dismissal.

To be honest I've kind of moved on, though. It was unfortunate. But then again the Flames had another chance in game 7 and couldn't get it done. So, ah well.

I am confident that they'll do it and leave NO doubt in the future.

If we don't win a cup in my lifetime, I'm going to get my family to engrave in my tombstone "it was in... "

They didn't even review it. What's Campbell talking about?

would have been bad for growing the game in southern us if they gave the flames the cup.

ABC did broadcast the series and had more camera angles. But I don't believe they had HD in 2004.

Hurry up faceoff is all I remember... seeing Darryl pointing to go upstairs and then seeing play resume almost in rapid motion.. I think 46 seconds from the time Gelinas shot, to the whistle, to the faceoff and I remember going like 'wtf??'

Was shocked then, still shocked now, put a friggen asterisk beside it Tampa.

That article is sorely in need of a quote from him. Not clear at all what is he saying about 2004 from my read.

Right. '06 was the first finals broadcast in HD wasn't it.
