Tell a story about that crazy thing you witnessed that one time
My very first week of working in a professional evironment I was at the company annual golf tournament.
I was golfing with the company president and we were just finishing up the round. As we were walking back to the clubhouse post 18th hole, one of the other employees (in a group tailing us a few holes back) jumped a golf cart off an embankment and smashed it into the rear of another cart all while being ejected out of the cart sideways and taking a hard landing on the pavement at the feet of the company president.
It was something crazy to witness on my third day of work.

When I lived in Dallas, me and a few friends went to see a George Thorogood concert at Dallas Alley.
When we left with massive hearing impairment, we saw a fight between two homeless looking guys, the one guy took a broken crutch and stabbed the other guy in the chest.
I think that applies as crazy.

I was driving and I saw a lady walking a miniature horse on a lead, the same way one might walk a dog. This was in a suburb.

Calgary SWAT team suddenly showed up on my neighbor's doorstep as I was outside on my balcony. 4 marked crusiers, 3 unmarked SUV's, and the battering ram armored vehicle they have. Surrounded the house, busted down the door, and made a commotion inside. Pulled out two stoner kids who were no more than 17 years old.
Took about 45 seconds for the whole thing to go down. Pretty nutty.

Back in grade 11 or 12, I was walking by the burger joint by my high school. I witnessed a guy preparing for some sort of fight while standing next to his car in the parking lot. He was sliding a machete down his pants, a big one. He just put his finger up to his mouth as a "shhhh".
I just kept walking. Never did find out if there was some huge melee. Always been curious.

When we first moved into our neighbourhood my wife and I went for a walk up the alley. Suddenly I hear a "neigh!" beside me, scared the crap outa me. I look over, and there are these 2 tubby mini horses and a little red barn. Bizarre. The fence was electrified, so I would take my drunk friends for a walk, surprise them with mini horses, then make sure they got a nice zert from the fence. They are gone now, probably to somewhere with more space, like a glue factory.

The day of the 2004 Playoff rally downtown, my friend and I were lining up on the library c-train platform. It was jam packed obviously, and the guy in charge of telling everybody to step back from the yellow line so they wouldn't get hit by the oncoming train himself got crushed by the train's mirror.
Straight shot to the head. Started bleeding but stayed on his feet, probably wound up with a concussion.

At a house party in university, we suddenly heard a loud crashing noise coming from the hallway. We went out and someone had been a bit too rough because the whole sliding patio door had come out of its frame and smashed on the ground. That was an expensive party for someone.

When working at Bankers Hall I looked out the window one evening to see a guy on the roof of the parkade (where Bankers Court is now) doing calisthenics while stark naked. It made for an interesting call to building security.

Back in high school, when potassium nitrate was easily procured from garden supply stores, I made a smoke bomb by melting sugar and the potassium nitrate in a pot of the stove. Well, it was a gas stove and it got hot enough to ignite. Flames and smoke shoot straight up like a rocket engine facing the sky. In the immediate moments after my life flashed before my eyes, the entire ceiling was hugged by a thick, pillowy layer of smoke that began to quickly descend and visibility became zero. I clumsily made it outside, not after bagging myself on the corner of the dining room table to find the smoke billowing out of the house as the neighbors watched in fascination. In retrospect, I found it odd that nobody called the fire department or anything. Good neighbors.
There was also the time when I visited my uncle who was a professor in biology and got a tour of the anatomy lab at a university hospital. That was probably kind of traumatizing for my pre-Walking Dead desensitized eyes to see.

On the 3rd Friday of my first ever office job, we all went out to the pub.
We got there just after work around 5:30 and started drinking. As the night went on people go drunker and drunker. There was a co-worker who worked there that was a good looking individual. A couple of other co-workers (actually 1 guy and 1 girl) were giving her grief that her breasts were fake. It went on most of the night till around 1. At that time the women, stood up and lifted up her shirt and bra exposing her breast. She said "see no scars".
A third male employee that was sitting next to me leaned over and whispered into my ear "I knew that, I #### her at least once a week in the phone room" (what we called the room with all the servers and phone related equipment).
It was an interesting 3 years at that job.

Saw an oncoming Explorer Sportrac do a barrel roll over the barrier on Deerfoot and land upside down in my lane going the opposite direction.

A group of friends and I encountered a drunk girl in pain on a sidewalk one Friday night. She said she'd broken her ankle and couldn't walk. While we waited for an ambulance to come for her, an old boat (Cadillac or something from the 70s) pulled up by the roadside next to us, and a 6-foot man, in drag, got out to take over caring for the poor girl.
He/she was absolutely business-like (maybe a paramedic in real life??). Blonde wig and all, this guy had absolutely no concern for how weird he looked. But it was absolutely bizzare watching this go down.

The 60's were a different time Grand dad. Stuff like this was expected.
Did you all order Martini's with two Olives?
And by Server you mean the woman that were making you coffee while answering the phones right?

In New Orleans there was a homeless man sitting outside a bar with a miniature donkey. I asked him why? He laughed, with no teeth, because I can!
Then again it was New Orleans and nothing there qualifies as unusual

I watched an unsecured (Ikea?) bookcase launch into the air from the back of a northbound trunk while I was going southbound. It gracefully arced about 20 feet into the air and and then exploded into a thousand pieces.
I imagine that traffic was fairly backed up afterwards.

I'm actually not amazed at how often that happens in Calgary. for some reason there seems to be a requirement once a week that some dbass doesn't tie a mattress or whatever down properly and launches a air strike at the car behind him.
