Fourth line players averaging 11:25-13:39 mins per game. GG is not afraid of rolling four lines and our depth is really starting to shine down the stretch here, great to see.

You're welcome Leafs, Lightning, Flyers, Panthers and Sabres. Flames were being cheered on from across the country.

They've won 36 and lost 30. I don't think regulation v. OT wins matters in any estimation.

I know this stat because of Weitz repeating it 500 times in the last week. He knows all the little stats like this on the Flames, well until we're one game over .500 in regulation games, then he won't know that stat anymore.

At the All-Star break, the Flames were 11 points back of the Sharks and Oilers, 10 back of the Ducks.

Now: 7 back of the Sharks; 2 back of the Oilers; tied with the Ducks.

The ASG was 5 weeks ago & there are 5 weeks left in the season.

OT is 3 on 3 which never happens in the playoffs. Then again, regular season results often don't lead to playoff results so it's a moot point anyhow.

The Flames are now through the easy part of the schedule.

Of the remaining 16 games, only 4 are against bottom feeders. 7 out of the other 12 are against elite teams like Montreal, Pittsburgh, San Jose, Anaheim and Washington. The remaining 5 are against Nashville, LA and Boston.

It is going to be a tough road. They need to continue to roll if they want to make the playoffs.

Best part of this whole situation may be that we find late season success, get a good goalie through a playoff appearance, but get value on a new contract due to his dismal early season performance

That would be true if they played Unlimited games. By winning, they closed another door of opportunity for St Louis or LA

Anaheim should be in that second group, they're well below the top NHL teams, tied with the Flames in fact.

Definitely a nice stretch by the Flames to get themselves in a good spot. Now 3 points up on Nashville somewhat insures them against a crazy hot stretch by the Blues.
