Only Chicago, Minnesota and San Jose have more wins than the Flames.

Remarkable.

EDIT: (Meant to say in the West)

This win I dedicate to every Islanders fan who says that Tavares is the real Johnny Hockey.

So close to a positive goal differential for the season, I can almost taste it.

Such baloney that the Flames have 3 more wins than the Ducks yet are still behind them.

Keeping Pace?

8-1-1 says we are setting pace.

All Calgary needs to do to make the playoffs is keep pace. Actually gaining ground on anyone is gravy.

Man, this team is on a hell of a roll, and at just the right time. What a remarkable turn-around from earlier in the year when they were playing god-awful hockey and we were all writing them off. Huge credit to both the players and coaching staff for turning the ship around.

I think this team is for real now. It would take a collapse of epic proportions to miss the playoffs at this point, and I don't think that will happen with this group. These guys are clearly motivated and it shows in their recent play. The upgrade on D has certainly helped, and Elliott has become the goaltender we all hoped he would be when the Flames signed him.

Not to mention all 4 lines are rolling right now. I'm starting to think this team could do some damage in the post season if they keep playing the way they are.

Well Flames are still 1 under .500 in regulation games..

The mighty Oilers still poised for more playoff success at +2.

(17 games played against tired teams being completely irrelevant in the matter, of course.)
