It doesn't really matter to me. Nobody on Pittsburgh should wear 66, but why shouldn't some kid on the Islanders do it?

I also think it's dumb that 99 is retired league wide.

Flames just relentless that period. 21 shots. Great to see.

Spoiler!

I remember how pissed off I was when I saw that. I am a big Lemieux fan and thought Brodie would amount to nothing. I'm glad I was wrong about him. Now I don't feel bothered about Ho Sang wearing 66 either. Nothing can taint that number or Mario's legacy.

Being in England I hardly ever get to watch a Flames game because of time-zones.
This is a nice surprise.

I might just step up to the plate today on that front.

Debrusks inner Oiler comes out as he states that a couple of the Flames goals were flukey. Just go back to cheerleading for your Oilers Louie!

Flames need two more straight wins in regulation to get to .500 in regulation. That strikes me as a meaningful benchmark so let's pour it on and get within one.

I think it's more respectful when players wear numbers in tribute, rather than have the number retired.

Look no further than Michael Jordan's #23 and the NBA.

The Flames were holding water in the standings with Gaudreau, Monahan, and Brodie (among others) all playing poorly and the goaltending being inconsistent.

So you had to figure that they would be a pretty good team if those guys could get going.

But holy ####!... Add Stone and Bartkowski, get Brodie going, get Elliott going, get Gaudreau and Monahan going, and add newandimproved Ferland, and this team is legitimately entering contender status.

This team is good.

And deep.

Boys you are allowed to take the third period off, yet pour it on in the second.

I hate big leads like this, afternoon game, scary games. Don't sit back in the second period, push.

Great start, think everyone is shocked here cause we don't do well with afternoon games!

Should have shown the Schlemko shootout goal against Rask.

That was one of the best periods the Flames have played in years.

I take back everything I've said in the past about Ferkland. Didn't see it before, but seeing it now. Solid effort after 20.
