I thought Gaudreau handled it perfectly last night. I think earlier this season he might have flipped out and whined at stripes... and to be honest, who would have blamed him. It was the precise definition of a penalty shot.
But Gaudreau made his case, listened to ref response, a d went on about his business.
Excellent maturity shown.

I haven't had a chance to watch some other games but I would imagine that we are at that part of the year where the refs slide into playoff officiating where they pocket their whistles. I at least hope that is the case.

I actually don't agree. He protested, even if it was less dramatic than he has been in the past, for way too long. I'm convinced he doesn't get calls because of his constant whining out there, he needs to have 0 reaction at this point, I'm guessing he's got a reputation.

I seem to recall a couple of months ago we kept getting the opponents on the second nights of back to backs after being in Edmonton all the time. I always assume over the course of the year it all evens out or am I being ignorant?

Guys, we still won the game. It's not as if we lost or a team we are directly competing against got a point because of the missed penalty shot. Atleast they even called a penalty. And I really hope the Flames didn't call the league after to ask About that non-call. That would make us very whiny and pathetic.
