I think a lot depends upong your neighbourhood. Some have younger families, some have older.

I stopped when I became a teenager.

And growing up in the country, I had about 10 houses I could go to.

I kinda wanted to dress as Mel Gibson this year. Get drunk, drive around and yell anti semitic remarks at the kids on the street.

I got a wise guy in a Flames jersey, with hockey pants and a helmet. He had a unicef box. However it didn't say "Unicef", it said "McCarty".

I'm at 53 here and it's slowed down. Had a bet with the wife where I said 75 and she said 40. I need to get 5 more kids to tip the scales in my favor. I might have to go out and recruit me some ringers.

Any kid in an Oiler jersey on my doorstep got one mini candy bar. All other kids get 3, unless they impress the hell out of me.

Must say I'm disappointed though, not many of them say trick or treat. They stand at the door and stare at you. Next year I'm pretending I'm blind and will just stand there and stare aimlessly if they say nothing than throw the candy around all over.

I bet it takes that guy HOURS to go house to house. Was a piano tied to his ass?

Best costume ever! It's all about keeping costs low.

One year I went out as an old-fashioned ghost... took a sheet and cut out two eyes. Unfortunately everyone thought I was Ku Klux Klan and I couldn't really see very well so I had to scrap it.

Gotta love the cute kids who show up around 6:00. Had a mom and her two kids come to the door, the girl was around 5, the little boy no older then two. Walked up the steps, right into the house, stood on the mat, looked up at me and said "twick or tweat". His mother was embaressed sp I asked him if he wanted anything to drink with his candy... he politely said no thanks and moved on.

Had about 40 overall, nothing since 7:30 though.

Didn't get home until after 8. Had a couple kids. Gonna be stuck with a bunch of candy left over. Lame. Is there somewhere that one can take it? Like the Children's Hospital?

Leave it in a bowl outside with a note saying "Leave the bowl please". It'll be gone before the night is through.

I had the same thing happen. Too funny.

My oldest kids were about 10. All were super polite. A few good costumes included little girls dressed up as bugs; one butterfly and another a ladybug. Best part of those costumes is the kids can still bundle up. It's amazing how cute those little kids are; especially when they aren't yours and you only get to see them at their cutest.

Last year I only had 10 kids so this year I decided to go with full sized candy bars. I think they went over well.

The wife and I only had about 12 trick or treaters...all of which I couldn't tell what the hell their costumes were. Halloween and candy are quickly becoming a thing of the past

Oh definitly!

Last year at the gf's place a girl of about 3 walked into the house, started taking off her shoes because she wanted to play with the cat in the house. The dad had to stop her, it was too funny.

25 kids total. Yep, ladybugs and butterflies are a popular theme.

I've got 25 bags left.

The contents. I'm a generous bastid.

I usually just take the leftover candy to work.

Had about 80-100 kids here.

Took my 5 y/o out at 6:00, in one hour that lil' bugger got two good sized bags worth of candy: we had to stop at the house after 1/2 hour and empty the bag.

Kids learn fast. By the time they're 8-9 years old, they've got the whole night planned out with military precision. Routes to take... houses to hit... how to ditch Dad, etc.
