This is potentially a brilliant strategy to create jobs in the rust belt: Poison and pollute the great lakes to a massive extent, then have to hire people to clean it all up.

those idiots probably cost the election, considering the actual margin of difference in the electoral college was south of 200k total in Michigan, Wisconsin and penn....
His personality was a major component of him winning. The whole "who would you rather have a beer with?" thing.
Hmmm. I recall it in 2000 as both he and Gore being bland personality wise in the election. That it was kind of a push as an issue. Gore certainly had the dork vibe down, but I recalled Bush as not very personable either due to the constant bumbling during appearances and also the fact that he was from such wealth.
While he certainly would have won the beer issue with most, (over Gore and Kerry I would say. boy the Dems have had some stinker candidates in terms of personality) I didn't recall it as having much factor in those campaigns.

Hard to say. He also was President during one of the most trying periods in the Republic's history.

I don't think it's hard to say that they should have stopped at Afghanistan. If they had achieved a quick, clean victory in Iraq, who knows how far that group would have gone.
