Not that I really want him but his best season was actually in Vancouver. Yes mostly with the sedans but we have a pretty good set up man as well.

The point being made was maybe not taking that 3rd round pick helped us get more on the 2 deals mentioned.

He still traded Stone for what looks to be a reasonable return based on what some of the other prices were.

To me it looks like he set his prices on his players, and when someone was willing to pay the price the player moved. When he couldn't get that price the player didn't move.

There's other factors that fan's don't see like the players desire to be traded and if it would impact the players desire to sign with the team the following year. Could be that Vrbata is open to staying with the Coyotes, and that there was value in having a good veteran like him to help with the younger guys on their roster had value.

Years ago Florida didn't trade Martin Gelinas to the Flames for a 5th because they felt having the younger guys watch him work on a daily basis would ultimately be worth more. By no means is it tangible, but not everything is in hockey.

No he will re-sign there. It's the only place he can play. Plus Pronger is coming off the books, they may need to dish out some money to reach cap floor?

Lmao @ "Plus Pronger coming off the books" being something an actual NHL team has to say with a straight face.Maybe they can trade for Zetterberg this summer and reunite him with Datsyuk.
