This might be his only bad pick to be honest, but he probably had no other options.

Pittsburgh was the right call at the time he left us, they were hot and looking good.

Boston fit his style and he was fairly successful.

Colorado came off a very good year and looked like a young team with a bright future.

Everything will always be 20/20 in hindsight but can't fault him for his moves.

Agreeing to this one though is kinda a bummer but it's likely there weren't any other options out there. Can't force a contender to take an aging veteran to play third and fourth line minutes.

Saw this coming weeks ago, and happy to see it materialize. Wouldn't be surprised if he signs a one year extension. Playing in LA has to add at least a year or two to his career.

It's kinda fitting that the Flames will (possibly) be the team that stops him from getting his Cup in his (most likely) final season.

Hardly. They're in ninth as it sits, but there are lots of good players on that roster, any of whom can go on a tear. That includes Quick and Bishop, who are both capable of going on streaks where they win games by themselves. Plus, they have three more games against us, and they can also catch the Blues, who appear to be crumbling.

The Blues have a cupcake schedule. I think they have 3 each against Colorado and Phoenix.

I get some fans really didn't want him to come back, but the lack of respect Iginla gets on here is disgraceful.

Guy poured his guts into this franchise for over a decade and a lot of catty comments from people wishing him ill will.

I'm not happy it's the Kings, but I hope it's a meaningful last ~20 games for the guy and he can go out with a somewhat relevant stretch of play.

Daryl and Iggy on the same side trying to bounce us. The irony. Smart move... 4 years ago

sounds like a mid/late pick

From what I've gathered, cost on Jarome Iginla was next to nothing from an asset perspective (i.e. just pick up salary).

Asking the important questions...
Iggy and Gaborik will have to fight in practice, winner gets 12

the team Calgary has to beat out is St Louis or Nashville. LA isn't going to miss.

The Kings are very much in this, people shouldn't pretend otherwise. From an Iggy standpoint, this isn't a sure fire playoff team (but neither would Calgary be at this point) but it's a lot better odds then his current 0 with Colarado, and I bet he feels he can fit well with the Kings.

That said, bet he was getting very little to 0 interest from the sure fire playoff bets this year.

naw man he poured his heart out for his paycheck, I owe him nothing.

Now that he's a King I wish him nothing but professional failure, at least for the remainder of this year.

Glad Iginla got one last shot, no matter how long, at a cup. Also glad it isn't here.

This. Not sure why there is so much hate towards the guy. It really is amazing how many fans turn their backs. Been to games where the guys sitting beside me boo him too.

Which confirms that no one wanted him, except nostalgic Flames fans of course.
