I am going to make a prediction:
 Emile Poirer for Curtis Lazar.

Not sure which thread to put this in. Friedman on the FAN this morning discussed the Flames and Bishop and Luke his 30 thoughts said it was very close to a 6x6 deal sign and trade ar the draft. When the Flames circled back at the deadline one of the reasons they didn't pursue it too much was they were also chasin Lazar and the 2nd round pick was in play for both deals. It was something along those lines why Calgary never seriously pursued Bishop at the deadline

Yup heard that; they also mentioned the way Elliot's been playing things are comfortable.

I bet the Flames trade for Bishops rights before free agency.

They should do nothing until training camp. If mega Gillies comes back into form they may only need one new goalie, and maybe not even a $6 million dollar one.

I bet they won't if Elliott continues his hot play. Elliott will come at half the price of Bishop and is a capable gap stop until Parsons or Gillies is ready.

Realistically, there's a very small chance any of our farm boys make the jump full time. Fam bases are always, falsely, high on their prospects.

			HNIC:plent of interest in Burrows
could have been a Habs, but the $5 million extension probably killed it
8 teams were in on Burrows, and only Ottawa was willing to step up with the extension

 Maurice contract extension on hold
believe it will happen this summer

GM meetings will talk about concussion protocols on goalies, concern is players will intentionally run goalies to get them pulled by the concussion protocol

Kypreos: Vegas is believed to be targeting MAF
could be the face of that franchise

edit: also said that it is likely the Canes try and move Lack to a better situation this summer. Looks like there is a clash of personalities between Peters and Lack

I'm sure MAF would look forward to getting lit up his last two years in Vegas.

Nobody would really trust Fleury to be a franchise goalie at this point. The conspiracy theorist in me would suggest that maybe Vegas is attempting to string the Pens along in a trade negotiation that "falls apart" near the end leaving the Pens to expose Murray for them.
Of course the rumour out of Pittsburgh is that they won't lose Murray no matter what and will just buy out Fleury if they have to. But I wouldn't be surprised if Vegas is "attacking" the Pens in some way over their goalie situation, hoping for some sort of favourable outcome for them.

Even if only a really great deal to take Fleury off their hands.
