Bartkowski is a good interview. Speaks honestly, and not so focused on cliches.

As discussed. You just can't deke an NHL defensemen and beat him like its a walk in the park.

I think a lot of the previous opportunities where Gaudreau undressed defensemen were a result of the Hartley system. It was all about the transition and attacking with speed, which would catch defensemen on their heels. Under Gulutzans mire structured system, he doesn't get that opportunity as much anymore.

and he's confident. I really like that signing. He's been a solid improvement on Kulak/Joki.

On this feed, nobody's voice matches anything you see on the screen.

It's all good, he's generating chances and skating hard. Give it time.

5 G, 14A in 62 games. 2 short handed points, 2 GWG. 51% FO. He's having himself a great year and I don't know how much more you could ask of your 4th line guy without getting better linemates *cough* Bouma *cough*.

Honestly the idea of a tough 4th line C is a lot like trying to find the next Lucic. Everybody wants one but teams have made it without having that specific type of role player. The best 4th Cs off the my head this season are different with Cullen on the Pens and Beagle with the Caps. Main thing is that they're veterans who can play hockey beyond hitting and have a positive (51 and 56% respectively) faceoff percentage.

Instead of anticipating he is guessing. That one rush was a perfect example as he gave a body shimmy/deke hoping the dman would bite. When he didn't there was no room left and an easy play for the defender. When he is on his game he makes the defenseman move his feet to follow him and then makes a play with the puck to an open area.

Its a subtle thing but one he is struggling with a bunch and has for a lot of this season.

I would like to see Freddie play next game RW on the Bennett line, and Chiasson benched for that idiot elbow.

Missed holding call on Carolina for there. Tkachuk was all wrapped up, no call of course.

Both teams turning the puck over. I think it's the ice more than anything.
