I'm upwind of the Lilydale plant so never had issues. I have to stay they have taken steps to reduce their impact on the community. They have a dedicated full time employee for engagement with the Ramsay community association and they post in the community newsletter. Plus the City is purchasing that site for the green line so it won't be there in the long term.

My buddy works with transportation planning. I can confirm this is the plan, which is why I wouldn't live in Inglewood in the next few years. The closing of the zoo bridge makes me angry all the time when I'm in the area. As if Inglewood isn't limited on entrances/exits already...

This didn't happen in Inglewood. If the response is - yeah but Inglewood is in the flight path... Don't forget that since the new runway opened there are airplanes flying all over the city in almost every district. I have friends in the Springbank Hill area and Westsprings area that can hear/see planes overhead (although they are higher up than they would be over Inglewood).

Riverbend, Airdrie, Hidden Valley and Monterey Park all sit within the flight path. It is a very large space and I feel the odds are greater to be bitten by a shark than what happened to this lady.

I spent a ton of time researching the impact on properties within the flight path now that the city is cracking down and actually enforcing the zoning within certain flight boundaries. If you are buying an already subdivided lot/infill then all you need to acknowledge is that you are in the flight zone. If you are buying as an investment for future building opportunities or legal up down suite, be very careful!

There are drawbacks to any community and those drawbacks of Inglewood have been pointed out. Most of my clientele who have inner city on their list have Inglewood near the top and the real challenge is finding the specific home they want within the community.

I meant it as more of a joke, not something to really take into consideration. The odds of something like this happening are astronomically small--you may as well not buy a certain house because Earth could get hit by an asteroid

Inglewoods is tops as a community. Best way to find out is get on your bike and explore from the bird sanctuary on. It's quite expansive and offers a multitude of economic levels to enjoy a great super inner city locale.

I agree with Travis, that the range of home available in the community is dramatic, so finding everything on your checklist is a challenge, but the upside on location and amenities is one of the best.
