Because images are better (Bernie's reply has has twice times as many likes and four times as many RT's as Trump's. Meltdown incoming).

In fact the debt is now down about $31B since January 20th.
But like I said, they're meaningless. Trump has enacted little to no fiscal policy that would influence the country's debt level and comparing the current situation to what the economy and finances were like in early 2009 is completely disingenuous. If anything the comparison should make Obama look better since this is currently still the fiscal year from his presidency.
But most importantly, small fluctuations in the debt level don't mean anything. The country added $1 trillion in debt last year, yet there are still one month periods where it dropped by $30-40B. The longer term trend is much more indicative and I'm sure we'll never hear about this again once Trump starts adding to the debt load.

Tom Perez the new DNC chair. I'm ok with it, I think he'll do a good job organizing and such. Ellison was more progressive, but to me the DNC chair should be good at running an organization, not a political figurehead or a policy wonk, so people shouldn't be upset that Ellison didn't win. Ellison is the deputy chair.
The former labor secretary Tom Perez is the new chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) after a fiercely fought four-month campaign.
His victory in Atlanta on Saturday saw him make history as the first Latino to lead the party but left progressives who backed his main opponent, US representative Keith Ellison, disappointed.
Perez won the chairmanship on a second ballot, after missing out by just one vote in the first round of voting.

FOX 25 requested answers about Pruitt’s private email use and if that account was searched for records in accordance with state law. It took one week for the office to return our multiple calls and emails and confirm they did search the account.

Congratulations to Thomas Perez, who has just been named Chairman of the DNC. I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party!

Perez is the guy I was kinda advocating (just on this forum) for Clinton's running mate. I think he's a good choice (though Ellison would have been fine too). Democrats need to both keep the current fervour going and capitalize on the anti-Trump sentiments (which should be easy), but also try and make inroads again regarding working class, blue-collar moderates, particularly in the rust-belt. I think Perez has the connections and background to make that happen. Last year he was seen as the most liberal, non-establishment, Sanders-friendly VP candidate of anyone on Clinton's shortlist, so it's a little odd how there was an effort to paint him as establishment. I think he nicely straddles the line between establishment and progressive.

The best part of using the Argentina flag of course is that was the favored hiding spot of the Nazis post-WWII. Apparently I'm no better lol. Nicaragua it is.

Wow, that's...disturbing. Some of these Trump supporters are off the charts bats--t insane. There was a dude interviewed on CBC the other day who actually keeps a life-sized cardboard standee of Trump in his living room, which he salutes every morning before leaving his house. Seriously, I'm not making that up.

If only there were a way to volunteer to defend (and possibly die for) America. If such an opportunity were available, I'm sure this young fellow would take it, but instead the best he can do for his country is wear his t-shirt, drink his Big Gulp, and fawn over this greasy, withered swindler.
