Flames should just worry about themselves...they are in the drivers seat

keep winning, they are forcing teams to give up come trade deadline

Edmonton losing in regulation brings us two points closer to them for 3rd in the Pacific. Much more preferable.
HDTV is usually 1080i 60 or sometimes 720p60. And often transcoded and compressed and recompressed. 720p30 looks pretty obviously jerky for hockey, and I've not seen that on cable and satellite. Most of the unpleasant stuff you see on cable/sat is compression artifacts.

Tkachuk will be the next captain.
Last night after coming back from concussion protocol, Tkachuk was on the ice for the last shift, and during the time out he looked like he was directing his teammates on what should be done during/after the face-off.

Yeah, you're right, Nashville is in eighth and well ahead of LA. We need LA to keep losing.

Yup me too. Has that "I Jedi power opened the grocery store doors" vibe

I also look forward to the inevitable revenge of the team, when he's being interviewed

And its not like Backs and Fro are dragging him along for the ride, he is just as much a catalyst as those 2. Oh, and love what a disturber he is. Thank you Columbus, Edmonton and Vancouver.

That's fantastic.

Dirty Dancing turned 30 years old this year.

Dougie reminds me of a Harry Potter wizard character there. Vanishes right when seen.

Tkachuk is my favourite player right now. But Monahan with the A, the numbers and the temperment make him the obvious successor at the moment and I would venture for the years to come.

That's why the game has become robotic. Monogamous would probably be a decent captain and that's fine. Tkachuk sets the tone. He will also be bigger and stronger in a few years time. Too bad he wasn't a loudmouth like Hull and Roenick were. Man would that bring some life back to the NHL.

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. Even though the Flames were low on energy in the second half of the game due to two games in two nights in the Florida heat, they stuck to the system and got the win.

As much as we derided GG, when the team plays within the system they look really good.
