Lol, dumb move by Yotes management. They're telling their fans what they can and can't do to celebrate at a game? Lame. But what do you expect from a lame organization in general I guess.
There was a pretty amazing wave going on at the Dome this afternoon for the Hitmen game. Was sort of a throw back to the days when it was a lot more popular.
The wave is a bit of silly fun and I always enjoyed participating at the Dome as a kid. The response from the twitter guy reminds me a bit of going to Flames student night back in 2002. People in our section were complaining about how loudly we were cheering and a few ushers warned us to settle down. Thankfully after the game someone from arena management came up and thanked us for adding the only atmosphere to the building and that we were welcome back any time.
Also, the Mexican wave (as it is called here) is banned at Cricket Australia matches. To quote their rules, you cannot:
Quote:
disrupt, interrupt or behave in any manner that may disrupt or interrupt any of the Matches or other activities at the Venue, distract, hinder or interfere with a player, interfere with the comfort of other patrons on their enjoyment of any of the Matches or other activities at the Venue, including by the way of participation, in any manner, in a ‘Mexican wave’;
