He's so desperate to be loved, you wonder just how deep his daddy issues really are. Also, will he shut down his clubs to figure out what the hell is going on with leaks?
Quote:
President Donald Trump, living alone inside the White House, often hungers for friendly interaction as he adjusts to the difficult work of governance. At his clubs, he finds what’s missing.
That showed last November at a cocktail and dinner reception celebrating longtime members of his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club. Deep into the process of meeting potential Cabinet nominees, the president-elect invited partygoers to stop by the next day to join the excitement.
“We’re doing a lot of interviews tomorrow — generals, dictators, we have everything,” Trump told the crowd, according to an audio tape of his closed-press remarks obtained by POLITICO from a source in the room. “You may wanna come around. It’ll be fun. We’re really working tomorrow. We have meetings every 15, 20 minutes with different people that will form our government."
"We’re going to be interviewing everybody — Treasury, we’re going to be interviewing Secretary of State,” he continued. “We have everybody coming in — if you want to come around, it’s going to be unbelievable….so you might want to come along.”
Quote:
Trump often appears to want to include his friends in the decision-making process.
Turning to a longtime club member that night, he said: “We were just talking about who we [are] going to pick for the FCC, who [are] we going to pick for this, who we gonna accept -- boy, can you give me some recommendations?”
The supportive crowd ate it up as the relaxed Trump, in his element, gave them a close-up view of how he was setting up the government. “You are the special people,” he told the crowd of about 100 members, who mingled around a sushi station served by a waiter wearing a camouflage “Make America Great Again” cap.
Trump is so attached to his club members that he picked David Schutzenhofer, the club manager at Bedminster, to help decorate the White House. “He’s going into the Oval Office, right? And you are going to make it beautiful,” Trump said during the event.
I was at a party yesterday with pretty well educated people (lawyers and engineers). All of whom were Trump supporters who didn't believe in Climate Change. Got all of the clichés, "how can they predict the WEATHER in 50 years if they can't tell what it will be tomorrow", "How long have they been tracking the weather for?" and when you explain the difference between climate and weather and how ice cores work, they just laugh without any retort. You basically have people who believe the scientists who have evidence of Climate Change and people who believe the businessmen that tell them its not real.
Some top notch stuff on Real Time overtime last night - gotta say, while Yianopolous is a gross little troll, Berkeley should've let him speak. This is who they caused a hundred grand worth of damage over? People were arrested protesting this clown?
He's a mental midget. Bill's done us all a tremendous service, having these right wing it kids on his show and exposing them for the frauds they are. Tomi Lahren's performance on his show was embarrassing. This was embarrassing. They cannot argue with adults. I'm fascinated by the right's go to insult of 'low IQ', as well - Donald's done this a bunch himself. I remember once Jon Stewart took him down and his reply was something along the lines of 'Jon Stewart is a joke, not very bright, and totally overrated!'.
Larry Wilmore is clearly a highly intelligent man. Malcolm was a spy, and as Bill said 'this man has done things that have allowed you to live'. But Milo, who is also clearly intelligent, has to attempt to demean them and won't argue the the merits. He's a lightweight.
Anyone who uses 'not very bright' to describe Jon Stewart is a ####ing simpleton. And so is this clown. Stop being afraid of simpletons, colleges. You're better than that.

In case anyone is interested, there's a good rally going on now on CNN. Donald is sweating off his tan as he describes his amazing accomplishments in front of a fawning crowd of people we can't call stupid because if we do we'll be admonished for calling them stupid and that's why he got elected so they aren't stupid.
EDIT!: Special appearance from an aging Joe Dirt!

I dislike this guy getting any air time on a larger platform. He, like Trump, sees how to manipulate the media through performance to turn them into a vehicle for his own self promotion. That's what he's about and Maher just helped him out by booking him.

He barely won those states. Jesus, you sound like some Oiler fan talking about their 2006 playoff run. They got extremely lucky and rode a hot goaltender. Proof was in the pudding after the fact and the Oilers returned to the #### show they had been prior to that run. Trump got extremely lucky that Comey set the table for him and Clinton did nothing to fight back. 107,330 votes is what made the biggest difference, and won the election for Trump, but it was actually a lot closer to be a complete stomping the other way. Here are the swing states that went Trump, the margin he won by, and then a comparison to the Garry Johnson protest vote.
Arizona (11 electoral votes) - 91,234, well inside the Gary Johnson vote margin of 106,327
Florida (29 electoral votes) - 112,911, well inside the Gary Johnson vote margin of 207,043
Michigan (16 electoral votes) - 10,704, well inside the Gary Johnson vote margin of 51,463
Pennsylvania (20 electoral votes) - 44,292, well inside the Gary Johnson vote margin of 146,715
Wisconsin (10 electoral votes) - 22,748, well inside the Gary Johnson vote margin of 106,674
Conversely, the only state that went Clinton that falls into the same "battle ground condition" was Nevada (6 electoral votes).
So that massive ass kicking was on the back of 281,889 votes, out of the 137,098,601 votes cast, or a margin of .002056 percent. That 281,889 votes falls well inside the votes collected by Gary Johnson <4,489,233>, Jill Stein <1,457,222>, Evan McMullin(!) <729,824> and Other (write-ins) <1,583,591>.
This was a fluke of Oileresque fashion. This will never happen again. The numbers just lined up very well for Comacho and the FBI gave a hard enough push in the final week to make the numbers fall right into his lap. 85 electoral votes awarded on 282,000 votes with everything falling into a guy's lap.
Now you're sounding like a guy who just had his girl friend dump him and he's completely given up on women or relationships in general. Expect every chick out there is going to rip your heart of your chest and take all your CDs when she moves out! Sad. Very sad.
The Sad thing is the people who thought he had NO chance now saying he won't even last four years. I have just come to terms with reality. "he barely won those states" yeah all of them lol
Not to mention the republicans ran the table everywhere else
Next election there will be liberal 3rd party candidates taking liberal votes away from someone who actually might win just like this election. I'm telling you guys IF the economy is half decent in 4 years he is gonna win again.
