CNN commentator just pointed out that the Conway ethics breach, or the person getting a picture with the guy with the nuclear codes would be the scandal of the year in another administration. With Trump, these were not even the biggest scandals of the week.

Interesting short doc from tonight's National on the recent influx of refugees fleeing the U.S. into Canada because of Trump's immigration policies and the fear of being deported. About halfway through the segment, the camera crew comes across a frightened guy from Somalia on the side of the road who just snuck across the Manitoba border.
Hard to believe we're living in a time where people are trying to escape the U.S. out of fear and desperation. Unreal.
I'm sitting in my small but warm home, with a full stomach from the great dinner and dessert we had tonight, tucked up on my couch with a mug of tea and a blanket, watching this, and call me a bleeding heart liberal sucker or whatever you want but this had me in tears. Absolute tears, watching that last guy's face. Watching him put his hands in the air as the reporter approached him, the look of fear in his eyes. The looks he gave the reporter, hoping for reassurance that he wasn't going to be sent back to the US. The exhaustion on his face and the pain that was obvious in his extremities, especially his legs, while I sit in my home, as described above, luckier than I may have a right to be. These are not looks or actions I thought I'd ever see on the face of someone coming to Canada. From the fecking United States of America. See that on the news, someone leaving Syria or somewhere like that? Sure. But this? Jesus. I don't even know what to say.

Heh, no kidding. Can you imagine if there was audio of Bill Clinton sayinig he could do anything he wanted to women because he was famous, including grabbing them by the #####?
I'm trying not to sound like a hysteric here, but right now the soft accusation is that Trump campaign officials, which includes the now attorney general, may have colluded/conspired with the Russian government to overthrow a democratic election in the United States.
This is the most potentially damaging moment in American political history save the civil war.

I hope they'll let him stay, as the poor guy is clearly scared s--tless of having to go back to Somalia or the U.S.

When I look at the way Conway is deteriorating as she continually gets called out on lies and has to continually defend them with more lies, I wonder how much worse things can get. Seeing Stephen Miller's approach yesterday was frightening and makes me think that as people like Conway burn out, they will just be replaced with more zealous nuts who are less conscious of the lies.

Well he has alienated himself from the NSA and FBI. But the other thing is, I can't read the word "leak" in reference to Trump and not giggle a little to myself.
